Alles was perfect voor elkaar
Geweldige host maar de samenwerking tussen Sykes en Booking verdient een 0,0. Ik moest een Sykes account aanmaken maar dat kon helemaal niet en de communicatie tussen mijn host en mij kwam niet tot stand. Zo hoorde mijn host niet van U hoelaat we aan zouden komen en ook berichten van mijn host aan mij en van mij aan mijn host kwamen niet tot stand.

Setting and location was lovely. Easy drive to train station to get into York.
No issues - we found it a bit cool but owner was onsite and responded to our request to up the heating.

The accommodation was spacious, clean and comfortable. We felt relaxed in it.
The water flow was poor and there was no hot water on the 2nd day and the shower was luke warm on the first day.

Mattresses felt elderly. Strong tap water taste (though this is not the fault of the owner).

Property is on a working farm and it’s surroundings are beautiful. Cottage is basic but has everything you need
The water from the tap was in drinkable, had a yellow tinge to it and tasted metallic. also the mattress in the double room was so hard it wasn’t comfortable.

We enjoyed the lay out and location of the property. It was was perfect for 2 couples going away.
The tap water tasted really off, we had to go to the shop to buy drinking water for the duration of our stay. It would have been helpful for a warning prior, so we could have prepared before arriving at the property.
There was also no condiments in the kitchen, eg. salt and pepper, cooking oil.

Very quiet and secluded, very clean and welcoming. Lovely hidden gem of a place.
Everything was really good. Maybe could have condiments and foil in kitchen but with covid restrictions I understand why not.

The cottages are ideally located for access to the city of York via the Designer Outlet Park and Ride scheme
The cottages could have been signposted from the road, we arrived after dark and the 3/4 of a mile muddy farm track didn't give us confidence that we weren't just driving into a field.
