Reception staff were excellent

We stayed on 15th floor room very tired needs an update. Headboard ripped and tatty dirty walls bathroom sink and bath chipped

The hotel was amazing the facilities were perfect the food was standard

the staff is where it was let down , only a few of the staff were helpful when needed and approachable, 80 % were very unhelpful , looked as if they couldn't be bothered to talk to you and at times quite rude , it's a shame because the staff were the only real problem in the hotel

The hotel is not a 4 star hotel. Maybe a 3 star hotel if you really push it. First of all, the pool area is dirty. I saw only one cleaner at the pool area during our stay (1 week). There was paper mugs and cups everywhere, people don’t know how to use bins. Also, the pool area is in a severe need of renovation. All the tiles where sleazy etc. We had all inclusive but it was waste of money as we ended up eating elsewhere. Plates and cups were dirty, the food was mostly disgusting. Especially the breakfast was the worst breakfast we ever experienced (we travel 3 x a year all around the world, so this is some sort of an accomplishment, but obviously not in a good way). Also there wasn’t enough staff in the buffet. It took ages to get the drinks, dirty plates were not picked efficiently.. Can’t unfortunate recommend the hotel if you have expectations of a 4 star hotel. If you seek for a 2+ hotel this might be your choice but of course the price is 4 star hotel price.

Great location, very clean in public areas and helpful staff.

The bedroom and bathroom are old and dated and could do with a refurb, headboards starting to crumble and marks on bath and bathroom floor etc.

The best pool in Benidorm, staff excellent, pool towel service is great but abused by some.

Food has declined over the years, have been to the Melia many times and the choice is not as good as it once was, I do understand why.

The hotel was clean, The Maids were lovely. Lovely big towels for the bathroom.

The beds were very uncomfortable, The headboard in the room need to be replaced The pillows need to be replaced.

Didn’t realize it has all inclusive option which in my opinion attracts the type of people who only want to drink as much as is possible, but this didn’t spoil our visit. Breakfast had a great choice but as is always the problem with buffet style the food wasn’t very hot.

A very warm and friendly welcome, staff on reception informative and helpful when asked questions. The food had a very good selection. The location was good, away from the noise of bars etc but only 20 min walk to the beach.

The beds were extreamly hard and rickerty, need replacing and a choice to make less firm. Not enough covering got chilly in the night. The hot tubs were out of order and we never found a sauner, these were a makor reason we booked this hotel so was extreamly dissapointing, especially when told by staff that its been out of order for months!! We didnt see this anywhere on booking.com or on Melia website. One outside pool was closed, so a pain for us to be near the pool with the children swimming as all sunbeds taken around working pool. Kids club entertainers only spoke to the children in Spanish which put our daughter right off. On our last morning as we were waiting for the taxi we sat in the cafe bar and the barman was very uninterested in us as we were leaving.. This was the only tome we were dissapointed by staff. The shower in one room (1206) flooded the room when used, when reported the mainetnance man did go but didnt fix the problem. We feel we were not listened to when we explicetly explained the problem. When our daughter was sick the maid clened the room, but the floor was left streaky and not really clean.

the location was great

the food wasn’t up to standard, it was cold and same old everyday,also I didn’t understand why we had to pay for drinks? when breakfast was drinks including so why not dinner? it’s something I was very frustrated about, they even charged you for tap water. the food we had was not cooked well even when the chief cooked the meat, I had to go to him 3 times to make sure my food is cooked. also the room services on cleaning wasn’t great, the building is old which makes the rooms looks old. we also had to pay for a swimming hat when they saw the swimming pool was getting busy so the staff member said you need to buy a swimming hat in order to use the swimming pool,on the first 2 days they didn’t say anything about a swimming hat. not all the facilities were open so that wasn’t a good look, coming from our booking wasn’t explained until we got to the hotel. The gym, swimming pool and sauna opened at 10 O’clock which doesn’t make no sense when you want to have a morning workout before breakfast? the hotel needs to be renovated as the pictures on the booking doesn’t show a true reflection of what the hotel is really like. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel being the most expensive in Benidorm is not worth the money for my liking.

The hotel is beautiful, breakfast great & staff polite helpful.

The guests- drunk singing until 3 am outside the bedroom, loud foul mouthed guests around pool kept putting their own music on, drunk swearing at staff when asked to turn it off. Vomit in lift. The cleaning staff were working so hard. Beautiful hotel but 70% horrible guests.
