Great location and very clean. Had everything we needed

Really enjoyed the stay there! Sebastien is a great host, always smiling and asking if everything is ok. He also allowed us to do an early check in, which was perfect for us!!! The Maison is located in a good area, with a lot of bars, pubs, restaurant and it is at 15 minutes walking form the city center. The breakfast was ok, not so diverse, but enough for a morning snack.

There was a particular situation when we were inside the room and 2 cleaning ladies come (for sure with the intention to refresh the room) and without knocking on the door, they just opened the door with a key. For us, it was kind of unconfortable this situation.

Central location. Lovely breakfast, fresh juice, fresh bread and pastries etc. Sebastian was a friendly and helpful host. Quirky vibe - so different from the chain hotels.

Note that duplex room has very steep stairs so no good if there are mobility issues. Book a different room instead. WiFi connection is weak in the duplex as it is at top of house. These minor points didn't spoil our stay.

I want to express our extreme thanks to Sebastien for all he has done to help is in getting back a piece of jewelry stolen while out in Brussels. He had gone above & beyond what he needed to do but clearly values his customers. We have traveled extensively & consider ourselves Street savvy but I think you can never be sure, no matter where you are.

Our room was lovely it had everything you needed. Breakfast was exceptional and the location was fabulous. This place had all the special little touches to make a holiday great. The host Sebastian was very helpful and friendly and we were able to store our luggage on the last time which was very handy.

Nice location and located in the middle of everything

Very steep long stairs , rooms in direction street very loud .

It is clean and close to all the attractions. Everything is within walking distance.

A bit noisy at night. Bc awe had to leave the windows open because it was very hot.

Spotlessly clean, large room, great location and lovely staff serving breakfast each morning. Really appreciated the recommendations for local restaurants as well.

Only thing to consider is the street is busy so you will need to wear ear plugs at night, not an issue for me and they were provided.

It was a nicely decorated room with all facilities needed. The breakfast was superb. It is located in an excellent area, close to main attractions and cafes/restaurants.

It was too hot in the room, and I couldn't sleep with the sound of the airco or ventilator.

The breakfast great....we loved how they offered you a choice for an egg We loved how Sebastian took our bags up to the 3rd floor. The rain shower was awesome....water hot!!!! The soap store was fun to shop in....and than you for the free bar. Thanks for getting us our laundry done Just a great location ...easy walking to the gallery shops, the museums, the church behind us, the chocolate shops.... Thanku again .....vince Licari

Breakfast is really great! I got an accident in Gent. The owners gave us lots help. It’s very comfortable to stay. It’s highly recommended!

Sebastian and the other staff were super welcoming and helpful! The room was spacious, clean, and really nicely decorated and arranged. We were not able to stay for breakfast during our stay but we felt really well taken care of and really enjoyed our stay here. Would highly recommend!

Beautifully decorated, exceptionally clean guest house in a great location. Nadia, Sebastien and the lady serving breakfast (which was delicious and generous) were all very friendly with nothing too much trouble. Attention to the little things which make a stay memorable were all there - access to coffee machine/ kettle, bottled water, sweet treats;high quality toiletries, towels and bed linen. Very comfortable bed and pillows.

Service by Sebastian was excellent. Breakfast was good. Room interior was interesting and comfortable.

The experience was wonderful: charming and comfortable rooms. genuinely decorated and all details were really great. The host: Sebastien was gave us great tips on restaurants and where to go. Breakfast was generous and delicious!

just one little detail: the noise from the room above (a bit too loud when the guest upstairs walked) (i was staying in room Vivienne). But compared to other stays in other locations this was not worth lowering the rating for this fantastic guest house.

Perfect location, nicely modernized vintage house. Marvelous room and bed. Very delicious breakfast. Coffee available whole day long. A lot of stairs to get to the duplex top room, but if you are able, it is worth the effort !

Stylishly decorated room with comfortable bed and amble wardrobe and shelf space for our 4 night stay. Efficient power shower with constant hot water. The accommodation is perfectly located for easy walking access to main sites but has the added bonus of quirky antique shops and galleries nearby. Delicious breakfast of freshly baked bread and pastries , freshly squeezed juice and coffee. Very helpful and friendly host .

Only a minor niggle but it would have been nice to see a wider selection of toiletries provided other than just the soap and shower gel. If samples of body lotion etc were provided maybe it would encourage guests to purchase such items from the owners soap shop across the street.

The room, the location, the hosts, the quality/price ratio. Everything about La Maison Haute was amazing, we had high expectations and it met and exceeded these every time. Sebastian and his spouse were the warmest, most welcoming hosts I have encountered in a very long time. Breakfast in the morning was full and varied and delicious. Our room was beautifully decorated, spacious, with a giant comfortable bed. The shower has great water pressure and temperature. The highlight for us was visiting the soap shop (owned by our hosts and few meters away from La Maison Haute) at the end of our stay, where we were treated like royalty while we waited for our train back to London. We also bought some soap to take back with us. All in all, we would 100% come back and have recommended to friends and family multiple times since our stay.
