What an experience with the most beautiful sights and quality bar. The bar for my trip was definitely felt like a hub that enabled easy interaction with other guests a lively atmosphere, board games, football and more. This made it really easy to make new friends and go traveling around the little towns and hikes together. Bar closes at 10pm which quite often felt too early but understandable. But your in luck as there is a great bar 30 seconds down the road by the ferry port, many good nights (Friday night karaoke ;) rooms a nice and clean and the breakfast room is lovely but can get crowded quickly and has an awesome balcony. Staff were awesome and super helpful and even enjoyed a few rounds of poker.

The beds are very old metal frames and if your on top bunk it’s very load even the smallest movement makes a racket. But overall when I got into bed I was out pretty quick. Breakfast is not great but one huge plus is the the nespresso coffee caps you are given in the bag but that’s where it ends. But for 23 euro a night and breakfast included I was not fussed in the slightest. Overall the trip was one of the best I’ve ever had and I’m a frequent traveler and honestly the hostel definitely made my trip.

If you're looking for a cheap place to stay around Lake Como, this is the best price you'll find! The staff were so lovely and so friendly, we really enjoyed chatting with them and they made our stay there very memorable. The shared dining room area was lovely and it had a stunning view of Lake Como, not to mention the meals they sell for dinner were absolutely delicious and affordable!!

Because this location is the cheapest, the rooms aren't anything fancy. They were quite small, the sheets were thin and some had holes in them, and in the heat of summer with no air conditioning and 4 people sleeping in one small room, it got really hot in there. But if you're looking for the cheapest option, you can't have it all. We still highly recommend this as somewhere to stay around Lake Como, it's just important to know the rooms themselves aren't fancy!

The view of the property was great. Great location next to the ferry port.

- Noisy. This hostel is extremely noisy, the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything. We stayed on the third floor and the noise from the bar echoed up through all the floors. Could hear every single conversation through the walls, in the corridor and throughout the whole hostel. It got that bad that I wanted to leave one night and cried as I was so sleep deprived. - Dirty. Our room was SO dirty it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for a few stays there. Dirt all over the floor, the bathroom was covered in mold! Felt very uncomfortable leaving until stuff around the room it was so dirty. - Uncomfortable - The beds were so old, the mattress were not comfy and the pillows were like bricks.

The food was great. The staff are accommodating and some are friendly. The location is fantastic and if you have a lake view room it's excellent.

I was given a twin room where the bed was too big for the room and there was no space to move around the room safely. I got bruises on my leg trying to get passed the bed. The decor was tired. The beds were damaged. The blankets were old. Sheets were stained. Some of the pillows were not even pillows. There was mould in the shower and the first room I went in it had not been cleaned. None of the areas were cleaned to covid standards and the same mops were used for all areas. The second room I had to wait 3hrs before I could get into it. The fire door was kept open with a brick. The dirty sheets were left in blue sacks on the pathway where you had to walk. Leaving no space to walk and was not easy to see in the dark. It was noisy at night up until 12am. Damaged bread was served with dinner and stale bread was served for breakfast. This was the worst hostel for cleanliness and it is not cheap. It is expensive for a youth hostel.

Staff were great but the room we were in #7 was very tired. The paint was flaking, parts of the plaster were falling off, the shower had black between some of the tiles and there was an issue with the venting in the toilet. About half the time we could smell the sewer vent from the toilet and would have to close the door to keep the smell from the room. That said we would still go back as the staff was very friendly and welcoming and the location was excellent. Oh and the food at the restaurant was also good and good value.

The staff at the Lake como hostel were all so fantastic! My friends and I had a great time chatting with them, and they were very helpful whenever we needed advice or suggestions for things to do or places to eat around Lake como. The main floor of the hostel where everyone eats was also great, it had a stunning view and a really cool aesthetic. There are books & board games available for guests to use which is sweet, and they had delicious, affordable meals which is great when you're looking to save some money. Free breakfast was basically just bread and jam but it did the job! Would definitely stay here again

You get what you pay for! The rooms aren't fancy and neither are the beds or the sheets, but it's a place to sleep that feels safe and all the facilities were kept pretty clean, so we had a great time here.

Good location. Nice view.

I'm not looking for luxury in a hostel, but certain basic things are annoyingly not in order. The worst is the bathroom. In all of them - there's either a door or a wall very close to the toilet, which doesn't leave place for the legs. In the lower level bathrooms, the light turns off and if you're inside the bathroom, there's no way to turn it on (switch not working). The ladder for the bunk bed was close to detach from the bed. Maybe it wouldn't have fallen, but who wants to take the chance? I climbed and came down using the other bed for support. It just shows lack of very basic maintenance, and therefore lack of respect to the guests. The hostel being fairly cheap, and maybe even good value for money, is not an excuse.

The view from the room is amazing, as well as having breakfast with the view on the lake is amazing.

The showers are quite small, but it's ok.

I loved the atmosphere! It was also great that we got a free breakfast.

There was no kitchen to cook your own food and doors to the room were open all the time so I was a bit afraid somebody might steal from me.
