It was very comfortable, past guests have left some spices that was nice, enough towels, thank you for the bech umbrella, I left it in the garage.
Clothes dryer is not working well, it takes many cycles to dry completely, great stay!

We were very happy with the location of the property and for the most part everything was as described. The biggest disappointment was the uncleanliness of the place. The host was quick to respond and send cleaners out the day after my complaint however, they still did not do a great job. We paid alot in fees and I resented having to do my own cleaning.

This property was a perfect place for family members who had traveled from out of the area for a milestone birthday party. Within walking distance of our home. It would have been nice if there was basics in the kitchen like salt/pepper, coffee and/or tea. Overall 5 stars 😊

So close to everything. Started each day with a walk along the cliffs/ocean. Property is small but very comfortable for a few people. Would have given a 5 rating except i felt they could have at least given you a couple of dishwasher tabs to use. Had it full before we realized there was nothing available. My husband has some mobility concerns and it would have been nice to have some type of shower support.

On the positive side, it was a great location, as advertised. It was roomy enough for 3 adults. The kitchen appliances and countertops were upgraded as in the photos. The fridge and kitchen and bathroom were clean.
The reason we did not give this rating higher than 3 is that it is an older building, in need of a good refresh. It's also a very dark space, but then you can walk a few blocks to the ocean for sunlight and air! The floors were filthy (i.e. our feet or socks were black within a few minutes after showering). The manager of the property responded if we left a voicemail, but not always right away, and once not for a couple of hours (when we were having trouble locking the house with the key code). The other little issues were that the dryer took a long time to dry (4 times as long as at home...) and the toilet sometimes plugged up. Final note: we're Canadians and don't mind the cold but if you are not used to the cold, the heater only heats the kitchen area, and the warmth doesn't make its way to the bedrooms. All in all, I would recommend renting this place if you're not worried about a pristine rental, as it suited us just fine for the 3 days.

Excellent rental for the value! Very comfortable and well stocked, clean and with excellent amenities. Hosts were terrific, responsive to questions and helpful in all ways. Location couldn’t be more perfect! All in all, a great stay—- top marks!

The location is the star here - super close to West Cliff Drive and walking distance from the beach as well as Cowells and Steamer Lane surf stairs. Check-in was super easy, and the kitchen was well stocked with dishware and stuff (though you’ll want to bring your own oil, seasonings, etc.). The house was comfortable for us (2) and probably fine with kids, but just fair warning I think 4 adults would be a tight fit. We had a lovely weekend.

The house was perfect for our purpose on our long weekend. It had everything we needed and was great walking distance to the boardwalk. The house was nice and clean, just no ocean view from the driveway. The owners communicated well with check-in instructions. Great spot for small families.

This unit worked very well for us. We loved being within an easy walk to so many things. Communication with the host was very good. Beach towels, games and basic supplies were all provided. The garage was not usable for us to park in as there are vines that make the opening too narrow and we didn’t want to scratch our car. But we only had one car so it was fine to park in the Driveway. The back yard also wasn’t usable for us. The outdoor furniture wasn’t clean and the ‘grass’ was mostly dirt with gopher trails. The neighborhood was quiet and felt safe. The check in and out processes were easy. Minor improvements to the yard, and adding more dishes would be nice. We had issues with the front door lock, but that was a minor thing since we could also go out the back door or garage. Overall great stay.

We came to the area for Spring Break to have some sunshine and do some college visits around the area. The house is in a safe and quiet neighborhood. It’s within walking distance to dinners, the waterfront and watching the surfers. We spent more time out and about, but were very comfortable returning to the house later in the evening.

We loved this place close to Cowell Beach in Santa Cruz. Great location within a two minute walk to the beach or a nice walk along West Cliff Drive. My only critique: the floors could use a solid scrubbing. No visible sand or dirt, but when we walked barefooted our feet quickly became dirty. But otherwise this is a great place.

We came up from Los Angeles for the Ironman 70.3 race. The house was a perfect location, close to the race, close to the pier, close to so much in Santa Cruz. The home was lovely, great layout, nicely appointed, exceptionally clean and so so so comfortable. If we venture back to Santa Cruz, which is highly lightly, we'll try to see if this home is available.

This 2 bed 1 bath home is perfect for a family trip to Santa Cruz and the surrounding area. We walked to the boardwalk and wharf a few times (10 minutes away!). The excitement of the coast disappeared when on the street, where it is peaceful and relaxing. Highly recommend!

Great location in nice, quiet neighborhood; but didn’t feel kept up. Kids beds had sand in them and towels were dingy. Beds were comfortable enough but one squeaked. Furnishings, shower curtain and decor were chincy and dated.

This place is close to walk to boardwalk and west cliff drive.. a nice walk with dogs and a dog beach. Neighbors are very close.. no air conditioning, which is fine if you aren’t temperature sensitive like me.

If this had one more bathroom, it would be absolutely perfect. As it was, it was a well-kept cute, clean house with well stocked kitchen supplies for cooking in a great location that was very walkable, but still quiet. Highly recommend.

Walking Distance to Boardwalk and Dog Beach
It was nice having the family stay together in one place. The property itself is modest. It has all the basics. The rooms are a bit small and the mattresses could be more comfortable. The neighborhood is beautiful. Overall, we had a great weekend in Santa Cruz.

Great Location
Beach Volleyball Tournament to the left; surfing tournament to the right. Restaurants, shopping, the wharf, the carnival, the beach, and of course the gorgeous weather. This property was close to it all.

Nice property in a great neighborhood within an easy walk of things of interest
Could have stayed longer! We had a quick two-day stay and this property worked perfectly for the four of us. The neighborhood is very nice and we enjoyed the easy walks to the boardwalk, pier, state park and various stores and restaurants. Would definitely stay again.

All about location & proximity to the ocean & boardwalk… 10/10. Kitchen is larger than it appears on pics & has everything one might need to make a large meal. A larger sofa is in the living room that’s not shown on description that’s super comfy. Fit 2 teens & 2 adults perfectly. Small”ish” but well laid out!
Tv interface not easy to understand… a thorough explanation or a Roku would increase value of the stay. Board games were a nice touch.

Excellent location and quiet neighborhood
We all had a great time. With the wharf, boardwalk and beach so close, we could easily walk. The very close proximity to West Cliff Drive made for wonderful, long, scenic walks along the ocean. The duplex had everything we needed and was very comfortable, clean with nice decor. We would definitely stay again at this rental.

Such a convenient location!
This house was perfect for our group which consisted of adults and teenagers. I felt very safe allowing the teens to go off on their own, and enjoy the area. The house is close to attractions, food, and a wonderful walking/biking path which was my main entertainment. Basic amenities which was fine since in Santa Cruz you are outside the majority of the time!

We had a very nice time. We wanted to unwind and be close to beach and we were. Beds comfy and soft but the furniture in living room was not very comfortable for just chilling and watching TV.
