Wonderful property with lots of room and amazing views.

The location was easy to find and the staff was happy to accommodate our late check-in. The room was decently spacious and had most of the amenities that we needed. Early morning views from the room were amazing.
The Bathroom exhaust wasn't very effective so after each use, we had to open the windows to defog it, We missed having a mini dishwasher in the room to wash the dishes.

Spotless, warm and spacious rooms. Gavin has provided everything we needed. The staff is amiable and helpful. The views of the glaciers are fantastic. You can see them through the windows. Gavin is one of the best hosts we have met in NZ. When we asked for some umbrellas, he was outside and a little away from the motel, but he came to us quickly and gave them. We highly recommend Mt Cook View Motel for anyone who wishes to visit fox glacier because it's worth the money you spend.

The room was very comfortable and well heated for winters. The view from the room made the stay worth it.

The views from the room were awesome in the morning....looking at Mount Cook
Inside was a lot older colder and bare than expected. Old wooden windows with bad paint work and the bathroom window was cracked with duct tape holding it.
Was one of the cheaper options in town but did expect it to be a bit higher standard

The units are clean, have a decent size and a magnificent view of Mt. Cook and Fox Glacier. The manager is very open and friendly!
The kitchen furniture and equipment are a bit dated and worn.

The view outside was breathtaking. The size of the rooms were also bigger than expected.
The carpet was quite dirty and the kitchen needs a deep clean. Also, it would be great if they could ensure that the handsoap dispenser is refilled prior to every stay.

Very well maintained spacious room with as it says a view of Mt Cook.
WiFi was the worst in NZ this far (13 days). We assumed it was the location.

The photos of the room on the booking site do not do it justice. The room is a lot more spacious than it looks in the photos, with a newly renovated bathroom with rain shower. Good water pressure and consistent temperature. Well equipped kitchen for travellers who might want to reheat or prepare simple meals.
Nothing to complain. May I suggest that you update the photos to better reflect the spaciousness of your room?

Great location and beautiful view of the mountains, close to Lake Matheson Walk, friendly staff, clean and good sized rooms, renovated bathroom, new kitchen utensils.
The owner was super helpful when we had an issue with our car and made our stay really memorable. Would definitely recommend staying here if you want to explore the area.

Very friendly welcome. Spacious room with a lovely outlook. Very very well equipped with plenty of utensils for cooking, tv, wi-fi, sofa, outdoor seating etc. Spotlessly clean. A bit old fashioned but very well maintained and very clean.
Bed was a bit soft. Slight noise between rooms. No curtain on glass entry door so daylight woke us early.
