Bedroom was very dated, dirty and dark and has not seen a lick of paint in years. Unable to see out of our bedroom window due to overgrown bushes. Breakfast was not very good and then need to replenish the food regularly and not let it sit there drying out. No draught beer available

Perfect location for the wedding we were going to. Set in a lovely village. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast.

when you book the hotel it isn’t clear that they haven’t got an alcohol licence. Had I known that I wouldn’t have booked this hotel I used the gym which to be fair was clean and in decent condition but there was no remote for the TV and no air conditioning I asked for a quiet room and got down graded to a room which you couldn’t open the windows had no additional door locks, and as a solo female traveller that additional security is important to me. There were lamps that didn’t work and I had to call the manager how didn’t believe and was rather rude. The sink in the bathroom is too low and there is no shelf to put soap or shampoo on. Disappointing

beautiful check in, the man on receptionist was welcoming and respectful. made me feel right at home.

A little tired looking in some rooms but bathroom lovely. In need of some decorating which they are in the process of.

The staff were polite although offered me services they didn't fulfil these.

2 single beds pushed together although I paid for a king room. Due to this the bed kept splitting and I slept unsettled all night and I had work the next day and I was too tired. The air con fans outside my window also were noisy and kept me awake. They offered me a wake up call and this didn't happen. I am overall not happy I would like some if not all .y stay refunded it wasntworth the money.

building works taking place. restaurant very slow to delivery food. took 40 mins to get glasses and water. staff seemed to be totally unaware of their roles. I noted several electrical issues.

The room size was good and the water was lovely and hot

The rooms are heated with an Aircon system but we weren't advised of this when checking in so the rooms were freezing on entry. I had to return to reception to find out how they were heated. We had French doors out to a courtyard area but the doors didn't fit well and were very draughty so had to keep the curtains closed. This wasn't such a bad thing as the courtyard wasn't very pleasant to look at. Some of the lights didn't work. The bathroom sinks didn't hold water. Final point the beds are way way too soft!!! I appreciate they are having a renovation but attention to detail on the completed rooms is a must

good location ,good room facilities ,good wi fi and tv iron and trouser press very good ,room was very clean and nice tea making supplies , nice to stay in a room that you can actually control the room temperature

staff not overly welcoming, hotel is still being renovated so noisy during the day , odd to see security staff ! OVERCHARGED by receptionist on my room ( needs to be addressed) its an old building and as such you can hear everyone moving around in hallways etc not ideal at 02:30 in the morning

The hotel was lovely but the best attribute the hotel had was their staff. Excellent customer service and so friendly. There is no daytime/ evening restaurant or bar at present but this may change. There is a lovely old pub just a four minute walk away (better to reserve earlier in the day if going for food). The breakfast served at the hotel is plentiful and the chef comes out to speak to every table, again so friendly. The only negative is the hotel rooms etc are undergoing a makeover and not all complete , so I could get a faint smell of paint or cleaning solvent, which cant be avoided during renovations, however this would not put me off booking into the hotel again as we had a really stay. Next time we travel to Leeds Bradford area, this is where we will stay. 9/10

It would have been great to have the restaurant or bar open, but we availed of these nearby.

Neat room and the cleaning staff did a good job whilst we were there.

The hotel felt like it had just come out of hibernation with a skeleton staff. A buffet breakfast was available but I would not call it the most amazing I've seen. Otherwise the restaurant was closed. When fully up to speed it could be a great place to stay. It's a charming building.
