Our host, Robin was so attentive to our needs and more. Those little things, such as assisting with the washing and ensuring our heater was up high for our return after our Milford Sound tour, meant so much.. thank you :) We were upgraded into a one bedroom which was very spacious and comfortable. It had everything we needed. The location was excellent. Not too far walking distance along the lake into town. Although was a balmy 2 degrees and I’m sure the wind chill factor was much lower lol

The manager was fantastic, great communication and made our trip very easy given we were traveling into the Sounds in-between our bookings.

Awesome Accommodation provider. If your looking for warm, cozy with a plenty of space, then book Red Tussock. The Three Bedroom Apartment we got was huge and clean. Plan to extend last minute unfortunately, they are fully booked. We will be back again for sure. Big thanks to Robin, very informative host.

good location, clean room

No aircon or ceiling fan. Had booked a room with aircon but turns out it was a mistaken listing from previous management. Manager didn’t believe we had booked a room with aircon until we showed confirmation and he called booking.com. Offered a desk fan which we accepted but it didn’t help much. Said he was going to reduce the tariff for the error, but didn’t.

Modern, clean and spacious upstairs apartment. Easy walk into Tekapo township. Friendly staff. Kindly offered to books any trips we wanted, and evening meals. Highly recommend.

we had a 2 bedrrom retro unit which gave the teo of us plenty of room. we used the twin room as a dressing room. Good to have a full kitchen with oven as we weren’t planning to eat out.

Firstly, the Manager Robin was super helpful - obviously really enjoys his job! His Assistant, Obi-Wan Kenobi the dog, was very cute. We had a first floor with balcony with a view of the lake - room was a great size, clean and with all facilities you need.

The only minor thing was the mattres is almost ready for an upgrade - but we still sleep well.

Exceptional place to stay, Host went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. Very well priced definatly a place that would happily stay at again.

Robin from Red Tussock Motel got us an upgrade when he found out we were there for our honeymoon. The room was great, the view from upstairs was magnificent. He is very very friendly. Would highly recommend getting rooms on the 2nd level, for the amazing views.

Close to lake, spacious rooms.. Well equipped kitchen and parking facility is available. TV was just basic. Hotel room was upgraded without extra cost.
