It was fresh, clean, and had good amenities. The pool was cool but wonderful view!

I had booked a king room, and upon arrival I was given a single, the reason being they only had smoking rooms available, which is fair but made me wonder why they hadn’t put aside a non smoking room or asked during booking.

As a regular to this hotel, recognizing by all staff and allocating my preferred corner room is always allocated. Feel at home as I normally stay about a week always.

Me gustó la comida disponible del desayuno, era un costo adicional, pero creo que el precio estaba bien comparado con el de mi país La limpieza de la habitación era muy buena y la mejor parte era la piscina en el nivel 26, una vista impresionante y muy hermosa. El personal de la piscina es excelente.

La atención del personal de recepción, casi no tuve a nadie que me ayudara con mis maletas y llevaba dos muy pesadas. Debo decir ademas qué la comida era totalmente picante, creo que los lugares en Sri Lanka no son muy adecuados si no estas acostumbrado a comer mucho picante, la pasé muy mal por eso, pero es algo generalizado no sólo del hotel.

Check in took 20 minutes. Even getting a second key took 5 minutes.

i upgrade my room with lake view from normal room, but I got a room without lake view. it seems like normal room where i don't have to spend money to upgrade.

what can I say? A 4* hotel which is just 10 mins walk from the Gangaramaya Temple Viharamahadevi Park and a short tuk tuk ride to Colombo Fort. Super infinity pool and bar on the roof, full European and Asian breakfast with excellent staffing levels at any time - what’s not to love. This is somewhere to spend a few special nights if you fancy a super comfy bed and a gorgeous shower, I thought it was great value to money and made full use of the rooftop facilities. Amazing views over the city both days and night from the rooftop and lots of selfie opportunities beside the pool 😂

Nothing to dislike

A great location for central colombo , and a reasonably priced hotel . The housekeeping staff were excellent and the room was kept super clean everyday and the views from the rooftop bar give you a 360 of Colombo .

The pool area is disappointing , it is quite small , plus it’s difficult to find someone to serve drinks poolside. The staff up there could be more proactive . The rooftop bar is a great location but the music from the DJ is too loud , and very difficult for conversation . The hotel is looking a little tired and could do with a refresh .

Great location, great pool, great breakfast, nicely designed rooms.

AC was not strong enough to get the room cool. Mine was facing south and west and the AC just wasn't powerful enough to get the room below 23°C. I never managed to get hot water in the shower even after 15 minutes. Wifi was slow (but better than a lot of other places in Sri Lanka!)

Room was really comfortable & very nice. The sea view & city view was great. Floor was well carpeted. Good delicious breakfast. The egg station & Hopper station in particular was superb.

We went to the roof top bar & restaurant on 26th floor. But terrace floor was flooded due to rains. Instead we had to sit inside the small covered bar. Service was prompt. But disappointed that there was no food served in the bar , except small snacks . We were sent to the restaurant below on 8th floor "Flavoured" for food . Once again here , we were disappointed here as they insisted on us to opt for a buffet. Alacarte was not served. Again - for food they were driving us away ( to the 3rd destination now) - the cafe on 1st floor. After expressing our disappointment with the " restaurant manager - Mr. SHANE " , he gave us some food with much hesitation. Such big group - Cinnamon Red hotel not serving Alacarte menu at it's bar & also main restaurant, didn't go well with us at all. We were even planning to go elsewhere to some other outside - restaurants !! The reception too needs more matured & trained professionals to carry out check in & check out formalities. Cinnamon Red , Colombo was the only hotel amongst the 9 hotels we visited in Srilanka during our trip , that did not offer a Welcome drink & a "cold towel". There was no welcome of any sort & surely the reception, lacked any warmth & made us feel unwanted.
