The hotel is STUNNING. The views and the quality of the hotel is spectacular - HOWEVER people booking should be aware of how bad the food situation is and how bad the access is which make it hard to go out.. .

We are so disappointed with the food situation at the hotel. The hotel has a separately owned restaurant and no other food option for hotel guests. It is ALL fine dining. - No light lunch menu - just the same a l carte menu that the restaurant uses lunch AND dinner !!!  - menu is extremely overpriced and limited.  - no snack menu - no menu for round the pool  - no service around the pool  - no vegetarian option  - no selection for pregnant women. Chef offered VERY limited selection. Charged us €21 for a plate of tomatoes at evening meal. Shocking!! - the breakfast was shocking..NO menu. We asked for Eggs Benedict and was looked at like an alien. Limited basic choice that is extremely overpriced about €38 for 2 people and it was tomatoes, one cheese, very dry pastries. The hotel itself is gorgeous but the restaurant COMPLETELY let's it down.  I can see there is so much similar feedback on booking.com but the hotel has done NOTHING about it.  We would not recommend this hotel based on the food options which actually completely ruined the stay to be honest. We were either hungry or paying for very expensive fine dining for lunch and dinner averaging €200 a day. Noone likes to be ripped off

The location was spectacular - located within walking distance to trailheads, which was a fabulous surprise. The staff provided us with some great recommendations on hikes that we could do, and ways that we could maximize our time hiking and seeing the nearby villages. The scenery at the resort is spectacular, and the staff does the best that they can, even while being under staffed.

The staff worked REALLY hard, but they could use a few more people to help make the service even better. There was also a horrible wasp problem, so while there were beautiful views - we could not enjoy them for breakfast because we kept getting attacked by wasps, so we ate most of our breakfasts inside, alone, which was such a shame. The service at the restaurant (breakfast and dinner) also was extremely slow (not for a lack of effort- they just really need more staff). I think that the methods the hotel was using to try to detract wasps from guests were actually encouraging wasps (by putting honey near the bushes, near peoples' food), because no other place nearby had such a horrible wasp issue. For the price point, I would expect slightly better service and experience.

Breakfast, no blinds, lack of staff

Breakfast was wonderful and the food at the restaurant was extremely good. Setting absolutely gorgeous. A truly special place and we would love to return, but would want to choose the room we stayed in.

Honeymoon visit, we booked a top tier room. However was rather disappointed with the first room that we received, (room 12) we were eventually on our last night of 3 moved to room 14 which was incomparable. Feel somewhat disappointed that these rooms are charged at the same price and, in my opinion, are wildly different offerings. Not only the views that they offer but also the bathroom facilities, the light, general ambience, and space.

The hotel and the setting were beautiful and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a bit slow but very good!

Getting there is not for the faint hearted!! The drive is very steep and along a very windy narrow track. It's not somewhere where you pop out regularly.

This place is unbelievable. The setting is breathtaking, and it is well appointed and decorated. The food served both at breakfast and in the main restaurant at dinner was incredible.

Maybe work on the driveway a little? Didn't bother me, though.
