They wouldn't accept cash only card even though booking said we can pay cash at property .... un acceptable

Staff were efficient, friendly but overworked. Facilities for children were up to expectations. Breakfast was adequate but the area was too busy.
Evening meal was tasty but some food had to be sent back for re-heating. Again staff were struggling to keep up with demand. The room, a 'Deluxe', was not too clean and cleaners had to be called. The window was broken and could not be opened. The phone was disconnected and had to be fixed. The bathroom door was catching and children struggled to open it. The bath jacuzzi failed to function after being filled, leaving no time to have that fixed. Overall the accommodation was very poor.

Large room, good breakfast, wonderful spa facilities. Staff were so attentive and pleasant. Genuinely could not ask anything more. Breakfast was cooked perfectly and spa is just heaven on earth, definitely recommend spa for a group of friends.
No casual dining, we didn't fancy fussy evening meal and bistro was closed to private party, no prior notice given. Had to eat outside in tree house! Beds are too soft but room was nice. Stay was quite expensive for off peak season. Breakfast table was the smallest table I have ever seen.

I loved the spa. I enjoyed our breakfast in bed. The bed was very comfortable.
The bathroom was dated. I usually look forward to a powerful shower in hotel rooms.

The woodlands is one of my favourite hotels. It caters for absolutely everyone. I loved the fire pits on the driveway in, it added a touch of class to the entrance. The petting farm is fabulous for the kids. The hotel itself is so warm and cosy with stunning decorations. Our room was amazing, so spacious and designed beautifully. The staff couldn’t do enough. Our meal was delicious. We absolutely loved the outdoor area, cabins with the stoves, Pizza , burger, coffee and icecream huts and finally the sports bar. Everything amazing.

Beautiful gardens and the outdoor cafe The Treehouse is so unique and a please to be in
some staff seemed out of there dept when asked a question about other areas in the hotel. for example we asked about an event happening in the ballroom that night and the lovely girl needed to go and find out. even though it was happening that night.

Good sized room. Enjoyed lovely meal in bistro both evenings of our stay. Good selection for breakfast. Nice walk around the grounds including being able to see the kitchen garden
Room very warm on first night even with the window open. Nice to have a fridge in the room but it was a bit noisy.

Nice grounds and reception area. The food was nice.
The leisure centre is horrible. Badly needs to be renovated. The rooms are just ok. The bathroom wasn't great, I've had better showers in hostels. This place was not value for money at all.

The staff were absolutely fabulous- from the reception desk through to the staff at dinner( casual dining) were incredible- food was absolutely superb & service faultless- staff could not do enough for us- Scottish waitress a gem & the young male manager that was working (Friday night 5th) had the most professional, positive & pleasant demeanour- obvious that he was leading the staff in this manner. A huge asset to the hotel.
10/10 all round!!

I loved the staff they were excellent. Location and grounds fantastic and very well kept . 10 out of 10
Our room was very under whelming for €345 i was expecting more luxury. The toilet was a disgrace , loose toilet seat , the bath didnt work. Door was filthy and under the sink . 😪😪😪
