Really beautiful hotel, nice room and well located

As an improvement, make the area around the pool more cozy, so it invites you to have a drink in the bar.

The hotel is down a little (well lit) street so close to restaurants but so lovely and quiet. The views from floors 5 and 6 were wonderful! There is also a beautiful sewing shop which I'd really recommend buying from.

The English of some staff was better than others. Couldn't fault how wonderfully helpful the staff were though

Hotel Le Clos du Fil is a little hidden gem in Ninh Binh!. The great rooms with stunning view on the mountains were amazing. We felt at home and relaxed right away. Being welcomed by the reception and having a nice lunch at the hotel restaurant. We had to wait till 2 pm to check in but enjoyed sitting by the pool with a cold drink. The personal touch in this hotel is in every detail handmade with embroidery. We used the bikes to visit the Mua Caves only 5 km from the hotel. Unfortunately we couldn't make a boat trip at the dock in town due to the fact that it had been closed a few weeks before.

Nothing everything was great during our two night stay! There were no blind windows or curtains in our bathroom at the fifth floor :-)....this felt a little uncomfortable....but it was all quiet country side at night :-)

The room was lovely and had so much love for details. I loved the connection to embroidery that could be seen all over the hotel. We even booked the embroidery class and it was a lot of fun. The personnel was extremely friendly and helpful, the breakfast buffet had lots of delicious and fresh local options. All in all a wonderful stay. We came here for a few calm days to relax from fast-paced travelling and we found exactly that.

Breakfast isn’t bad, but doesn’t meet the rest of the standards. The shower drain is next to the shower (not in the shower) and makes a lot of noise while draining.

Just a beautiful little hotel, surrounded by lovely plants. The staff were great, the pool was lovely, the breakfast was really nice. Really short walk to the Tam Coc boat ride and a very short drive to the Mua caves.

Perhaps the ordered meals could be served a bit quicker but not a major issue when you are on holiday :)

Wooden carved furniture and big windows of the rooms , flowers and vegetation around the small swimmingpool and the staff's kindness and attention staff really create a nice and special atmosphere and make one's stay really remarkable

This hotel is beautiful and definitely deserves more than three stars! I was amazed by the attention to detail in the design of the room and hotel generally - it really has character and a calming feel to it. Lovely use of embroidery throughout. The pool looked very inviting but unfortunately it was still too cold for us to swim. The staff were so kind and polite as well as friendly. We stayed in the double deluxe room for three nights and couldn’t have asked for more. The location is excellent being on a quiet road away from the main road but also only a minute away from all the restaurants and cafes. We made use of the free bikes which was great.

Everything was great! No issues at all and I’m the pickiest!

I loved the French feel of the hotel, it felt very luxurious compared to a lot of homestays in Ninh Binh. Having been countless times to this area, I can confidently say this is my favourite place to stay. I've recommended it to several people travelling to Ninh Binh soon. I was worried we wouldn't be able to get a scooter rental, but actually the property had a few to spare which made the experience so much easier. I also did an embroidery class which was fun. The whole place just had such a boutique feel to it – great for a romantic trip.

I only ate the breakfast here but it wasn't the best quality in my opinion – sometimes I'm not sure who gives food reviews on booking.com but I suspect the other raving breakfast reviews are from tourists who perhaps don't have a good benchmark for Vietnamese breakfasts (Or we just happened to be unlucky). I'm a foodie and love Vietnamese food, so because of this we didn't eat here in the evening as I felt it was overpriced for the food. This was honestly the only negative though! I'd still come back here over and over, as I can get breakfast at any of the surrounding restaurants anyway!

it’s not so soundproof - you hear people moving in the hallways. sauna/hammam should be included in the price as it is not a treatment. otherwise excellent.

Absolutely stunning view, fantastic service, and huge space…we loved our time here.

it was all perfect

A totally charming hotel that supports local craftsmanship and encourages guests to experience it. You arrive via a very narrow passageway you would otherwise never drive down… And suddenly this sweet property appears. It really is only a five minute walk to the boats to take you to Tam Coc. Rooms are spacious and simply appointed but lovely. The bonus is bedding embroidered by local crafts people the shop is recommended too!! Food is excellent, with a wide variety of local dishes. Staff all speak English and go out of their way to help. I also had an excellent manicure at the spa.

The town and walkable area around the hotel are not particularly attractive, but there’s nothing that Hotel can do about that. It’s extremely close to the. Tam Coc boats and a short taxi, easy to get, to Hang Mua and other sights.

This place is a heavenly oasis perfectly located 100m down a quiet lane in a bustling little down which is the perfect spot to explore the area!! the room and view was STUNNING, the staff were so helpful, the pool is beautiful and food fab! couldn’t recommend more highly!!!!!!!
