Reception team was so relaxed, genuine and 100% helpful. The breakfasts were ample and set in a relaxed and beautiful setting. Location was awesome for what we wanted when visiting the Champagne region. The decor and ambience of the villa was just right as were the grounds. Epernay was really lovely too.

A very warm welcome, great tasting on the house and very laid back atmosphere. the staff was really helpful with finding good restaurants and arranging bikes for us. breakfast was excellent!

Run down interior in the common areas. Nice girls running the place but not tidy and professional. Dirty glasses, trays with breadcrumbs and dirty table cloths day after day. Breakfast was not even on the way at the time it was supposed to be ready.

Our two-day visit was exceptional. If you are looking to visit Epernay, this is an ideal location. I would highly recommend this house.

I don’t think we fully appreciated when we booked that this is NOT a “hotel”. It is in fact styled as a “Chambre d’hote” so no facilities like daily room make up, dining facilities, room service etc., or after hours (5.30/6pm) staff on site. We LOVED IT! This was/is a stylish and classical residence in traditional style and was furnished to a taste we fully aligned with and found to be most comfortable; exquisite even! the bed was comfortable and we slept well. The bathroom was modern, fully appointed with a powerful shower and almost instant hot water. Breakfast was excellent and served in a dining room that rather felt like home. A champagne tasting was included in the room rate and the ‘library’ adjacent to our room was equipped with tea/coffee making facilities as well as a fridge with various different champagne vintages that we were invited to help ourselves to, along with white and rosé wines, all at no additional cost. “Calvin” fulfilled the role of Hotel Manager and, as a result of staffing shortages prevailing during our stay also fulfilled most other roles including preparation and serving of breakfast. He was first class, charming, super helpful, and inspires my wife and I to return and experience this delightful venue again in the future. We didn’t read all reviews before we booked but those we did read were positive. Villa Signolle is superbly located in arguably the most exclusive Avenue in town. Perfect!

“Better” is a subjective assessment. Although not what we expected we rather liked the venue NOT having typical hotel facilities. A parking space had been reserved for us in the street opposite the Villa and I suppose it might have been preferable to have some private parking. Probably this kind of ‘hotel’ proposition would not suit everyone but it was perfect for us.

Only that it was unseasonably hot when we stayed and there wasn’t air conditioning so it was warm at night, there was a fan but no air conditioning. Not an issue for most of the year, just the hot months

Lovely location! Calvin was amazing and made our stay wonderful! Restaurants book up really early-so Calvin helped us find everything to include extra champagne tastings and restaurants! Plus the in house champagne tasting was wonderful and some of our favorite champagnes! Our room was fabulous! Breakfast was on par for a french breakfast- different breads, yogurt, juice, coffee and champagne! I would definitely stay here again!!
