Property is perfect for a family stay in the Athlone area - having a washer and dryer is a plus. Host was great and responded quickly. Also provided dinner/restaurant suggestions.

We were very happy with the accommodation, it was dry, warm and homely. Would happily book again in the future. Our host was very helpful and made us feel very welcome.

The only slight gripe I would have was the mattress was not that comfortable. It was a short stay so that wasn't a major factor.

Really lovely “chalet” in beautiful surroundings. Was very clean and tidy with everything needed for a self catering holiday- even a bottle of wine left for us when we arrived!

The house is fabulous. So comfortable and clean with everything you need already there which makes life so much easier travelling with 3 young children. The weather was amazing while we were there and so the patio area was a great bonus as we ate all our meals out there looking out at the beautiful view of the golf course. There is also a new Weber barbecue at the house. The location is lovely and quiet and yet Glasson village is only 5 mins drive away with a very good Centra that has everything you need to stock up for breakfast, dinner etc. We also got a takeaway dinner from Grogan's in the village and that was lovely. Ballymahon is only 15 mins up the road and we also got beautiful food at Skelly's Bar and Restaurant. Athlone is only 10/15 mins in the road and you have all the shops there or the Viking Boat trip which we enjoyed. Belvedere House and Gardens outside Mullingar is a must see and is only about 45 mins away. It's a beautiful part of the country to be based in. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this house and we didn't want to leave on the last day! We hope to return in the future. Thanks to Eddie and Anne.

Location is lovely, about 3km from Glasson village, the house is in a lovely quiet estate with friendly neighbours. It overlooks a beautiful golf course and you can see the lake in the distance. The home was spotlessly clean and the kitchen was well stocked. Eddie, our host, was excellent. We couldn't understand the hot water system, our fault!! Eddie kindly sent a lovely lady over to help us out. Problem solved in less than a minute. There are lovely walks nearby as well as the lovely Lough Ree. We woud recommend both the home and the location if you need to relax, unwind and recharge batteries. A lovely home in a lovely location.
