It was a very bad experience from the very beginning. Arriving at the closed community I contacted the host and he could not figure out how to open the gate for us. Luckily the mailman came and let us in. Upon arrival, there was no one there. I got emails and sms with the codes on how to get into the house. Please, look at the pictures uploaded to booking.com and then take a look at the pictures I took. Any differences? Entrance: Dirty ; Livingroom: Dirty AND messy ; Kitchen: used stuff everywhere and dirty ; Bathroom: Dirty - trash can full; Ants - Everywhere I know cannabis is legal in Florida, but that is no reason for the whole place to smell like that. I arrived after a transatlantic flight, hoping to be able to shower, but there were no towels and there was no one there to ask for some. So quick wipe and off to the first meeting I had that night. - You dont want to be walking dressed nice in that area.. Since this was a business trip, I did asked for an Invoice. The response was: we dont do that, ask booking.com (guess now what booking.com responds to that? right: Ask the host) I basically left upon arrival, and there is nothing booking.com can do to reinburse my expenses. I regret not having read the other reviews before booking... they seem to have had the same experience and the host only writes back: "nah angry guest"

I’m not sure where to start. The host lives abroad and is completely out of communication once you start your stay. I experienced several problems and the host did not respond to a SINGLE one. Let’s start with the cleanliness issue - the place is horribly kept. I was in disbelief when I pulled up to the house as the picture on the listing is not even of the same house. There are ants crawling all over the house, and everything is in a musty and dirty condition. Next, I stayed in the downstairs room and the temperature runs several degrees hotter than the rooms upstairs. There are some folks who stay at the property long term that control the temperature of the a/c so if you stay in the room downstairs which costs a lot, you’re out of luck as far as the air conditioning at night. I emailed the host to let him know I was having difficulty sleeping due to the heat, and to either have the ac temperature turned up or to provide a fan in the room, and he simply ignored me. I spent two weeks waking up in the middle of the night sweating. Next, the host didn’t care to call a cleaner even once though I was at the property a whole two weeks. Next, the area is very sketchy. Yes you are very close to wynwood but it is technically in overtown and I saw incidents with police nearly everyday. Not at all safe for women. Next, the host checked me into the wrong room on the first day and instead of taking onus and fixing it he made me wait until 11 pm the first day to check into my room. If you’re looking for privacy, peace of mind, cleanliness, or a responsive host this is not the place for you. The host is negligent.
