Immaculate shepherd’s hut on a beautiful farm.

Such a beautiful place, the owners were incredibly friendly & the scenery was absolutely stunning! Our little hut looked out onto the spectacular lake and is a short walk from the parking. The owner also has the an incredible cut flower garden which you can purchase beautiful flowers from with just a days notice!
The Shepard's hut itself is a 20 minute drive from York itself and 15 minutes from the designer outlet where we used the park and ride option! Such a wonderful stay, we had the best time!

The place is so peaceful and beautiful. Having the cows to say good morning was a treat. The grounds around the lake are very well kept and beautiful. The hut its self was very well build and the finish just 5 star.. It was just perfect from stat to finish what I lovely place will definitely recommend it and be going back as soon as I can xxx
We had to leave xxx could have stayed a few more days at least.

Beautiful lake with a variety of birds. Lovely hosts. Smiling and welcoming as well as helpful. Very quiet which we loved. Clean and comfortable accomodation. All and all a very nice place to stay at. Definitely stay again and recommend

The view overlooking the Lake is lovely. The Hut has everything you need and has been finished to a very high standard.

Property was in a nice quiet location, but still easy to find. The owners where helpful and nice to chat to, even allowed us to go and look at the cows on the farm. The shepherds hut itself was spotless and high spec

We enjoyed the warm greeting from David and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The location and scenery were idyllic and tranquil. We will be back again soon.

A lovely welcome by the hosts, and the hut was very clean, cosy and peaceful! It was the perfect little escape for me and my partner. Also easy to get to York and explore for the day.

Great place to get away to. Sam was great on reception and helped us with our bags at 7pm which was a really nice touch. Shepherd's hut was cosy and had everything we needed. Lots of parking. York centre is about 20mins drive away and loads of shops on industrial estates near by. Many thanks to Sam for a great stay.

Location is amazing, only around 20 minutes away from York city center. Everyone was really friendly, the cabin had everything you'd need and was really clean and warm. Plenty of parking as well. Hope to come back in warmer weather

The location and the shephards hut itself were beautiful and idyllic. Sam met us on arrival and was very welcoming and helpful. The hut was spotlessly clean and it was just so quiet all around. I would recommend staying here to anyone visiting the area of York.

Booked a few days here at short notice, as we live rural we wanted somewhere quiet and peaceful.
Lovely well equipped shepherds huts located around a lake.
Peaceful and very quiet, only sounds were the birds.
Fantastic watching the local heron flying around the lake.
Lovely owners very friendly and accommodating, esp Sam the owner.
Highly recommended if you like peace and tranquility.

The people who own and run it are amazingly friendly and helpful and we felt so welcome. We will defiantly be back!

The setting was lovely and the huts were perfect, modern and spotlessly clean, they had everything we needed. We were made very welcome and had the most relaxing couple of days, would definitely recommend for anybody who wants to unwind for a while.

Amazing huts, very clean and have all the facilities needed.
Mattresses are thin so bed wasn't the comfiest however that did not affect our stay.

The perfect getaway, amazing staff, amazing hut very clean and everything you need. Easy to get into York city centre and nice restaurants locally a stone throw away. Amazing settings around the lake could sit and chill all day and not get bored, great if you want a bit of peace and quiet and easy enough to get into the hustle and bustle of York!
