No internet no Netflix outdated

The EV charging point did not work, but a charge of £19.12 went on the credit card used, and we are not having much success in having that money credited back. When I booked I opted to ‘pay at property’ however my credit card was immediately charged. A pizza & 2 drinks in the bar cost £37.45 to go on my room account. When checking out in the morning I said I had previously elected to pay cash. I paid £37.45 cash (fortunately I asked for a receipt), but my credit card was charged $74.93. Reception staff said that this charge would be cancelled, but this has not happened….definitely’not happy’!

Relaxed, staff friendly and helpful

The hotel was clean & mattress was comfortable. However, the pillows were way too soft it gave us both neck ache. The AC didn’t work & the room was roasting, reception told us it would be looked at but it wasn’t fixed for the duration of our trip. The food was decent there was a long wait (nearly an hour & it wasn’t busy).

I really like this hotel, it is really let down due to the quality of the AIRCon... its terrible to the point it actually makes no difference! The staff are fab.. nothing better than coming back after a 10hr shift and to be greeted by Nick.. top guy!

Generally fine but was disappointed to get kicked out of the bar area at 11pm and checkout was awful. I waited 10 minutes at reception as was unmanned at 8.15, I then knocked on the office door and asked if anyone was on reception, this lady then, instead of checking me out walked off to find someone and was gone for 5+ minutes. She eventually returned and checked me out but it took a while to get a VAT invoice. This made me late for my first meeting of the day. I also want overly impressed that there was a £5 charge to use the hotel swimming pool. I’ve never stayed in a hotel that has charged this before. Room was nice though although disappointing I didn’t get a bottle of water in my room for the 2nd night.

A good hotel on the outskirts of Sheffield with easy parking. The rooms are slightly dated, but are clean and have everything you need. The staff were welcoming and friendly. You do get charged for the spa which isn’t clear on booking, and the jacuzzi was empty!

Unfortunately the air conditioning didn’t work I was many who complained, rooms in this temperature was very hot made it uncomfortable to sleep. Also no complimentary water was provided , not sure if this there policy or just forgot. For Hilton I would have expected better

Booked this as part of my 30th birthday weekend and we Wouldn’t stay again . We are frequent hotel stayers . The hotel is Seriously out of date . Bed very uncomfortable. Was told there no food or drink was this would served only from 5.30pm yet this wasn’t true . Also the paper in the room that told us about the room service said the same 5.30pm it started. We had no view only of a dirty roof top The bath was leaking all night . The tv we could only get very minimal channels . Rooms are very small too . Not worth the price you pay at all

Love staying at this hotel. Our first port of call.

Our room was very dated, the bed was not as booked apparently queen is a double! Carpets stained, door damaged, nets ripped, safe broken, carpet grip cracked, fridge dirty. They did refund some money for this but still wasn’t value for money. We expected better This is the 3rd time I’ve attempted to post this review, it obviously doesn’t like my comments as won’t post!

Hotel was ideally located for my conference and site inspections so I booked. On arrival it was very welcoming and clean, the reception staff were lovely and I got a free warm cookie on arrival which was a nice touch. When I got to my room, it was dated but clean enough other than thick dust over the bed head which seemed to drift down occasionally Unfortunately my rooms Aircon didn't work and when I went to reception to report it they apologised and said they were aware some rooms didn't have working Aircon and offered me a fan which I accepted. Due to the temperature being 25/26 degrees celcius, it barely touched the side. I asked on the second day if it would be addressed and was informed it would be when I got back. Unfortunately that was not the case and I requested again it be looked at which I was guaranteed it would be before I returned from dinner. Unfortunately I was left without Aircon for my stay and due to lack of communication on the issue and no actual attempt to resolve it I would not return. It's a shame as otherwise the hotel would have been welcoming enough but when youve been on site all day you need cool air.

Large rooms, quiet and a bit away from the city.

Staff shortage, no answer on the phone when you call reception. Swimming area very small but there is no limit to the number of people aloud in at one time. Breakfast not nice order pizza for dinner it was disgusting.

Had an issue with the room after check-in, this was quickly sorted out by Nick and was moved to a different room (Thank you!). Fab staff, nice hotel. On the negative side, i would say the aircon isnt the best, struggles to get the heat out of the rooms. I would stay there again :)

Double Tree Hilton is a lovely hotel on beautiful grounds. My room was comfortable, clean and spacious with a beautiful garden view. The staff were kind, welcoming and helpful. Thank you to the reception staff that checked me in, the pool and the lounge bar staff. Great job everyone. Keep up the good work guys.

Standard double room.. it was ok, plenty of room, abit dated. Could do with a better TV system. The advertised wired internet didnt work. Air-conditioning really weak! Food in the bar was nice. Staff were lovely and helpful. Breakfast could be warmer.

Fine for my needs

Easy to find, 15 minutes from utilita stadium. Lovely room, great staff, plenty parking. Lots of glass needed a good clean and windows were dirty in Marco Pierre restaurant. Bed was hard but everything was immaculate in the room. Great breakfast.

Check in staff were friendly and being offered a cookie each after a long day was a nice touch. I personally found the pillows to be way too soft for my liking which resulted in a not so settled sleep, however the mattress was very comfortable. Went swimming in the morning with our little one and were informed on arrival that children were only allowed in the pool until 10am. We'd arrived at about 9.30 and were planning a good hour long swim, we'd not been informed prior that this was the case so that was abit of a shame as we had booked the hotel mostly for its pool which we hardly got to take advantage of.

Impossible to get hold of customer service at Hotels.com! I cancelled 2 bookings in the app, received no acknowledgement. Tried to get hold of customer service. The hotel directed me back to Hotels.com because I didn’t book direct. The booking date has since passed and I have now been charged £428 (hotel says we checked in and out), we never even checked in. If you care about customer service you will contact me please.

I have to say i was a regular at this hotel years ago but after Covid the changed many rules which i find to be not so hotel guest friendly! For example charging guests to use the pool and spa area with booking time slots is a shambles, also the room deco and cleanliness is shocking! The rooms are really badly outdated and defo in need of a makeover and the room was dirty with stains everywhere, worn out carpets, broken taps and dirty bathroom. Wasn’t to my liking at all, i wanted to try it after a long time thinking it may have changed for the better but NOPE! I was wrong! The location it’s great and parking is excellent it’s just a shame it’s so expensive for a back dated run down hotel.

The reception staff are very friendly and welcoming. I had a pleasant conversation with them during check-in and check-out. The room was tidy and well-maintained. When I requested additional coffee packs from housekeeping, they generously provided me with more than I expected. The room is well-equipped with plenty of electrical sockets, which is very convenient. However, the Wi-Fi signal was quite weak and could be improved.

Hotel was nice enough but advertised gym was not open. Times needed to be updated on the website plus had to pay extras when wasn’t expecting it. Clearer comms PRIOR to booking needed.
