Hotel is old and dirty rooms, found and killed a cockroach, the hotel workers were on strike for 4 days, no restaurant, no room service. They only had a continantal breakfast to go for $25 and the croissants were stale. They did not offer anything for a discount until I argued. I payed 6000 for the trip they gave me $400 off. They should had a congestion plan for the strike that the employees were aware of. I have pictures and video

The property is beautiful, I love all the pink around the area of the hotel. The only thing is that since it is one of the oldest hotels on Waikiki, it does need some maintenance. Maybe changing out the carpets in the hallways and rooms. The prices for renting out beach chairs with umbrellas gets expensive if you want to go to the beach everyday. I would’ve liked if it was covered with the total of the stay. But overall it is beautiful, and it’s in a perfect location and the staff are wonderful

We loved our stay at Royal Hawaiian. Stuff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant downstair was not good but there are many other options around.

This was the worst check in experience we have had. The room we requested was not available and the hotel staff were not apologetic or accomodating. Very disappointing for a milestone birthday booking.

Beautiful historical hotel, friendly room staff, close to shops and restaurants, beach is small but nice, pool is very small. You need to reserve beach chairs very early in the morning and with the strong sun it’s a must.

A peaceful location that while in the middle of the bustle of Waikiki, did not feel like it. The location and greenery made it feel like you were in a more remote area. The staff was excellent and so helpful. My family enjoyed the classes lead by staff. We learned so much about Hawaiian culture and history. We will definitely be returning.

Fantastic stay; staff was super helpful and friendly, hotel was very clean, housekeeping was punctual. Furnishings in the room were a bit antiquated and could probably use an update sooner than later, but there’s no doubt why the Pink Palace has such a remarkable history. During peack hours, onsite restaurants were decent, expensive and often very busy. The line at the coffee bar averaged around a 15-20 minute wait in the mornings.

The property has everything you need. I wish they had they had their own closer parking but the staff, the location and ease of use to the beach and pool Outweighed parking! Lol

The Royal Hawaiian is pure Hawaii magic. We always stay here and will always want to in the future. From the RH lattes at breakfast to the pristine and prime location on Waikiki - there is nothing like it.

We had a great 6 nights at the Royal Hawaiian. We will definitely be back again. Loved that the hotel Was right on the beach and proximity to all the shops and restaurants.

Hotel is beautiful with its common areas and has amazing history, but someone missed the boat on updating the rooms, only thing traditional is the wallpaper in the room, the rooms are in very poor condition and my room had mold built up and smelled moldy. I just literally traveled around the world and this was the worst room for that kind of a hotel category on the entire trip.
