The initial room given smelled really bad but staff was great in providing a different room

Great location, easy to walk to the college as well as places to eat. However, during check-in, no one was at the desk and it took 5 minutes for anyone to come. The front desk staff was not friendly or overly helpful. When we went to our room, it had not been cleaned. Again, no one was very friendly about it. No one greeted you when you entered the lobby. I've stayed at this hotel about 10 times and will not stay there again.

Lovely hotel in beautiful downtown Carlisle, PA. Friendly, helpful staff. When we checked in, our the TV in our room was not working- sound, but no picture. We alerted the front desk staff, went out for a walk and the TV had been replaced when we returned. Very good breakfast - also a restaurant in the hotel.

Room was very clean, comfortable and surprisingly large, but decor is a bit worn and dated.

Good location in downtown Carlisle. Walkable to many dining & drinking options. Convenient parking. Our room was a bit dated and small. But the restaurant & lobby have been updated.

I had a very good stay with my family. Loved the location and ambience. If possible, will visit again. Breakfast was really good.

Parking is in an unattached parking garage. It is unclear and there are no directions as to what to do. We parked first before checking in because we just had an over night bag to carry in. There was no way to get in the door nearest the parking area and we had to walk up a steep hill for about a block to get to the front desk. My traveling companion was using a walker so the uphill climb was outrageous. The front desk attendant was on the phone and the folks waiting in line claimed they had been waiting a very long time. There was no one to help my friend up the hill and no apologies. In the room there was no TV guide and when I called the front desk, they had no knowledge of the local channels and their offerings. Vacuuming noise started before 8 am in the morning. On the plus side, the room was clean and comfy. The restaurant and bar were very good and the service there was excellent. Breakfast in the morning was adequate with rubber eggs, sausages, muffins and all the rest.

The room was clean and well kept, and many staff working on changing over rooms in the morning. 2 staff manning the continental breakfast in the morning, very friendly and helpful. the place was run as a well oiled machine, desk staff were knowledgeable, professional, courteous. All of this at an affordable rate.

The parking was a little confusing as we needed to drive into a parking garage, wasn't expecting that. Once we entered the lobby, the parking situation was explained and there were no issues. Room was comfortable and clean. We needed to ask for more shampoo and cream rinse! Breakfast was typical continental style. However the restaurant was excellent and the chef was amazing, cooking "to order food" as I have dietary restrictions.

Staff was welcoming, room was very nice. If I had a negative, we were told that housekeeping did not service the room every day. But at least we were told so I wasn't surprised when the beds weren't made when we returned. The breakfast was okay, the staff did a great job of cleaning the tables and restocking supplies.

Great hotel. Perfect location. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. But, the hotel, rooms especially, are in pretty terrible condition. The rooms are clean, but even the pillows are so worn they folded them in have and put a pillow case around them. It looked like a cluster of tiny pillows. Dozens of blemishes in walls and splitting doors and a remote with an inoperable volume button. I will stay there again, but I wish they would but some money into the rooms.

Amy did a great job. Several people checking in at the same time and what looked like a lot of other projects in process and her dinner on the sidelines. Talk about customer first!

Check in was easy and the two women at the front desk were friendly. The room layout was great; king-sized bed with a pullout sofa bed. There were plenty of places to put luggage and all the “stuff”. Even though the bathroom is tight, it’s fully functional. The restaurant attached to the hotel is upscale and we enjoyed dessert there. This hotel is right in the heart of downtown Carlisle and when the need arises, we’ll definitely book here again.

We were in Carlisle for the Ice Festival and the hotel was in the perfect location for all the activities. The Whiskey Rebellion restaurant was delicious, and inside the hotel building. The free breakfast was nice and the staff was terrific. We will come back again.
