Paper thin walls or just plain lack of sound proofing with connecting rooms. Unacceptable for a Hilton. Was traveling with children and we were all kept awake passed midnight with inappropriate neighbor noises. Sure they have the right to enjoy their room, but it sounded like all that was separating us from them was a curtain. For a company claiming they’re in the business of sleep, they failed for us.

Located directly across the street from the King St Metro Station, allowing easy access to DC. In addition, there are numerous fine restaurants within walking distance in an area that is very safe.

Great location. Good food & bar. Rooms have non working windows and stale mildew like smell. Thermostat is not user friendly and was cold the entire time.

We love this hotel as it is close to King Street shopping district and metro station. Staff is friendly, rooms are spotless and beds comfortable. We have stayed here 3 times and would book again.

The front desk told me there was room service for breakfast when it doesn't exist. The website says there is valet parking, when it doesn't exist. the outlets in the room didn't work so I woke up to dead electronics

The location of this hotel is excellent but I think our room was infested with either bed bugs or fleas. I had several itchy, round insect bites on my legs after the first night and by the second morning, I had new insect bites on my legs and ears. We didn't spend much time outside in Alexandria due to 95 temperature weather, so I'm fairly certain the bites came from the hotel. The friend I was traveling with also mentioned she was itchy and noticed the floor in our room was quite damp. Cleanliness in our room was certainly lacking. During our stay we noticed several dogs with other guests in the lobby (possibly "service" dogs) but I would assume they have specific "pet-friendly" rooms when needed. I love dogs (and have one myself) and usually enjoy Hilton but this stay was simply unpleasant. As for location, it's just a block away from the Metro and two blocks from Amtrak.. It's also right on King St. with easy access to restaurants and activities.

Even though it is across the street from the metro, it was very quiet. Very clean and staff are pleasant. Since its on King street, everything is in walking distance in Old Town Alexandria.
