We stayed in a special suite which is named in the honor of the founders mother (st. Regis Founder). This was a great story to hear. Wish the experience matched that story. There was construction going on in the hotel which was not disclosed during reservation. Lobby had terrible smell. Luckily not in the room. Nothing over the top and was expensive compared to other hotels I had researched.

One of my closers had a terrible smell that I could smell all night even with the door closed. Even after complaining, they only wiped it down with some orange solution that did not fix the issue. I asked them to please wipe it down with bleach but that request was ignored. Had to stay in a stinky room for a week.

Bad start - booked two rooms but hotel only registered one room which was not even in my name, as the main occupant (but my son's) - how strange and it was not rectified despite having written to the hotel via this app as well as to the butler's service who got in touch with my son (to my email of coz since I was the one booking) - very disappointing. In both instances, I reiterated our request for connecting rooms as we had planned a family gathering, even if it was just 4 adults and a baby.
Later, the "error" was only semi-rectified at check-in, after much hassle. Then to rub salt into wound, our rooms were not connected but just side by side - how unexpectedly disappointing. Didn't the girl at check-in not understand simple English? Or insufficiently trained perhaps. Needless to say, we insisted on connecting rooms - otherwise our main purpose of booking at this supposedly esteem establishment for a cosy, long-awaited family gathering would be meaningless. We only managed to get into our connecting rooms at 6pm ++ The hotel would not even grant a late check-out, citing that it is fully booked (but strangely, the day-before occupants were allowed to leave at 4pm ++, when we had already made a booking for connecting rooms).
It is sad to be sidelined in our own country. We received better services in 3 & 4 star hotels elsewhere in the world.
Rooms are cosy & comfortable. Exceptional amenities, befitting the price we paid. G8 concierge services. Not coming back though.

In summary: It is disappointing to pay premium five star hotel rates for the St Regis Singapore. The hotel is very long overdue a refurbishment. Things are in bad shape, faulty and dirty. Some staff are rude.
We had a suite and a second room for our kids.
The Bad:
- The hotel is very much in need of a refurbishment. Whilst it was clearly top notch in its day it is just too old now.
- When we first walked into the suite the aircon controller was half hanging open with exposed wires (see photos). I showed it to the concierge but it was not repaired during our entire five night stay. The aircon did not work properly as when we would put It back in its place something must have been pushing the buttons from behind so the room was always ice cold.
- The buttons on the control panel on the one bedside table did not do anything (see photo). To switch anything on or off could only be done from the other side.
- The desk had a number of gouges and stains showing how old the pace is (see photos).
- The bedroom telephone was absolutely filthy (see photo).
- We decided to spend an afternoon a the pool where there is an old guy who is the attendant and helped by an elderly lady. Besides being extremely rude and unpleasant and clearly hating their jobs the guy could not be bothered to fix up the sun umbrellas which were both in bad shape but repairable. He could have brought fixed umbrellas but could not be bothered. See photos.

Worst hotel stay of my life. I used their laundry service, they ruined 3 of my tshirts by stapling through them with a stapler which they use to tag clothes, and despite holes clearly aligning with the staples used, they claim it wasn’t them and take no responsibility. Totally unprofessional and disappointing; especially considering the price paid for the hotel.

I had a terrible experience at St Regis Singapore. 3 of my expensive designer tshirts were damaged by the laundry team. I gave my clothes to laundry service on Thursday morning; on Friday afternoon i was told 3 tshirts have holes in them (which they definitely didn’t have before). They claimed it wasn’t them and it must have happened before i gave the clothes to laundry because ‘they have experience’. I requested to see the clothes, and it turned out the hotel uses stapler to staple tags to the clothes labels. The ‘holes’ in question were actually holes from a stapler where the hotel staff stapler thought my 3 Tshirts. Despite the clear evidence, hotel is claiming no responsibility and their only excuse is ‘experience’ and that due to their experience it could not have happened. Shocking and disappointing.
I exchanged a couple of emails with the hotel director of operations, but was only offered Marriott points that would only be equivalent of c. 150usd. The Tshirts in question are worth in excess of 1,000USD. I refused the points and requested email contact to someone higher up, for the past month received no response.
No responsibility or accountability is being taken by the hotel.

The room was very good, spacious with quite comfortable beds, blackout curtains and a refreshing shower. The setup for the shower needs work, however-- water escapes every time, making the need to sop up puddles. The walls are somewhat thinner than you would expect-- neighbors coughing, etc. Beautiful lobby and pool. I would go back next time in Singapore-- proximity to Orchard Rd is fabulous yet without all the hustle and bustle.

Checked in late well past 10pm, I was tired and didn’t care about the air conditioner not working. Next morning I called to complain, and they fixed the system finally, toilet kept on running long after you flushed, rooms keys needed to be replaced 2 times as the elevator didn’t except them. Line for breakfast was 30 minutes long. Waited for coffee forever until I finally left. Wanted to check out late due to late flight back to US. Hotels.com as a gold member I felt like I wasn’t recognized. After asking to check out late I was actually asked and forced to leave at 12 noon even harassed by the front desk.

I stayed for just 2 nights and on the 2nd night the aircon kept switching off. At 5 am the phone suddenly buzzed continuously till i had to lift the handset. I paid a fortune to have a good night's sleep. So not pleased.

The property overall was great, however for an international hotel brand in a major global city I would have expected at least an acceptable fitness facility. To my surprise, the fitness facility at the St. Regis Singapore is very outdated with sparse and poorly maintained equipment, e.g., rust on machines and rough handling, and in dire need of upgrading.

We had a wonderful stay and the hotel is beautiful. Our room was fabulous and the amenities are great. Breakfast was outstanding! We will definitely stay here again when returning to Singapore.

Very excellent stay! My family and children enjoyed the lovely stay. Room was very clean, check-in was very smooth, service very good, breakfast improved from the last time we came. Overall, really great stay and immensely better than the last time we stayed last year. Keep up the good work! Will be back!
