The Khum Phaya is a lovely relaxing place . It’s like a tropical paradise with it’s ponds, long wandering tile pool and it’s friendly staff. A place I would go back too !

This hotel is located on a serene property right smack in the city. I love all the foliage and nature that the property provides. Great pool as well as my son played in it constantly

Excellent hotel. This beautiful hotel rich in vegetation and water. The rooms are very spacious and well maintained. The breakfast is rich and very tasty. The staff is courteous and provides excellent service. The manager Emi is very nice and very professional. The trip to the city and the nearest mall is very quick and cheap. I recommend the rooms with pool access. This hotel is perfect. I will come back here again

Beautiful place to stay. Tropical and the gardena are ao traditional and well kept. A little out of town but worth it.

Staff here make this hotel they are so friendly the hotel is tired we had a hole in the floor and the wooden floor was spongy! It is expensive food wise and not the best - bit far out of town but they have a resident taxi driver PJ who is amazing ask for him at the front desk he went way beyond making sure we had a great time and we did - would recommend for the price and staff

I checked in to the room and found that pillows are dirty. 1 pillow had dried blood stain and another one had dirt stain. They were the 2 front pillows, it was impossible that housekeeper wouldn't see those stains. I told housekeeper to change it as i didn't want to make it a big deal. Then, i found another big stain on the bed sheet. I called her back again to change the sheet but she gave us a dirty attitude on her face. I called the front desk to tell them the issue and wanted to moved room because i felt like the room was not clean properly. They gave us another room in another building. I did not hear any apologized from either housekeeping or front desk. No service recovery. No one contact me for this issue. When i complained at the check out again, they want me to write down on the paper to present it to the management. As I work in hospitality industry too, this hotel offer a very bad service compare to others hotels in thailand. I had high expectations for this hotel when i booked the room, now I will never go back or recommend this hotel.

Breakfast quality is so poor

The unique ambiance, the lush greenery, the decor, and the style are excellent. The restaurant staff is outstanding. The food is good. Superb pool and Lanna architecture. The gardens are heavenly, However, the room can use some better maintenance. Switches, thermostats, door handles etc need to be replaced. All staff was great, however, The lead lady at the front desk on the day we checked in was more interested in her smartphone than helping us check in.

Great place to stay,

Hotel staff seemed new and very sub-par compared to our hotels in bangkok and Cambodia. They didn’t return our laundry before checkout and never followed up when it was done even though we were still in chiang Mai for another day and could have picked it up. Had to call and track it down ourselves next day to which the response was pick it up in chiang Mai or we can ship it within Thailand within seven days (not feasible as our two week vacation was up).

it's a very unique resort in terms of the architect and room layout.

A lovely hotel, beautifully landscaped and nice rooms, including a wonderful power shower. The only issue I had was its location. It is a bit out of town and sometimes difficult to get taxis back in the evening. Very nice employees and a nice stay overall.

i will dream about that pool for the rest of my life. spa was excellent as well. beds were a little uncomfortable though.

I normally do not stay at the same property twice because I like to try different hotels. I would definitely stay here again. Nice rooms and great restaurant. Staff is very friendly especially the tour representative

What an amazing resort! Just splendid! The landscaping, trees, music, lighting, rooms, everything is great. The swimming pool is so unique, and it's sounded by trees so looks very beautiful. Staff are very helpful.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here at Khum Phaya Resort and Spa. The staff were incredibly helpful and were very nice. They recommended activities and places for us to visit. Staying here was like a retreat into a different world, it was like we were in a forest with lots of local flora and fauna. Lots of birds. The mosquito were thick in the area (this was known and expected). They provided a mosquito system and mosquito net help with it. The spa was great! Breakfast was great! The only few critiques that we had were: 1) The pool was very chilly. Nice on a hot day, but still chilly. 2) The food was overall fair, but not spectacular. It seemed like they were trying to accommodate too many tastes but not succeeding at any one. They had pizza, pasta, Thai, etc. I feel they should do a more limited menu and that would give the kitchen a chance to do a few foods very well. Overall I still highly recommend this place, just consider eating out at more places.
