Had a nice overnight stay with the family. Staff was nice and the hotel was clean. Will definitely be staying there again.

We stayed here for two nights and were very disappointed in our stay.
The AC was on constantly the whole time we stayed here, but even then it would get up to 75 in the room and the lowest we could ever get it was 73. We had a hard time sleeping well since we were so warm.
The water temperature in the shower was only one temperature. VERY hot. It was extremely uncomfortable to shower. There were no working vents in the bathroom, and mold along the caulking all in the shower.
We also noticed the mini fridge we were counting on to save our leftovers was not keeping anything cool, let alone cold.
The pool was freezing cold and pretty worn down. The bottom of the pool scratched up our feet a lot.
One positive is we did have relatively good experiences with the staff as they were kind to us in our interactions.

The staff was super nice and helpful. The first room and the AC didn't work at all and the staff was super fast and kind about getting our new room ready. So Kudos to the staff. The second room. The AC kept cycling on and off every few minutes but at least it blew cold hair. The entry door had to be lifted up so the deadbolt would lock. The bathroom door didn't lock. The breakfast was not flavorful and bland.

The hotel is centrally located in Carlsbad, but other than that the hotel is in poor condition. Receptionist was rude and uncaring about the room condition. The room smells of sewage. Staff said its from the bathroom drains. The floors are uneven and the bath door doesn't close. All floors slope and appears to be a structural issue. The ceilings have major water damage from previous leaks from room above. All hotels were booked or we would have change hotels. They didn't have any other room. We plugged the drains with towels to halt the foul smell. The 2nd floor floor was uneven and giving in spots. The staff just played off the conditions that they were under new management who plans to renovate the hotel. I would recommend other hotels before this one. Very disappointed.

Very decent hotel in the area. There are some reviews that stated cleanliness issues here so I almost cancelled this reservation to book somewhere else - but am glad I did not. They accommodated our late check in (as well as a late check out) and were generally pretty polite.

The hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly. The only thing is our room did not have have a sofa and in the pictures online they showed it did that’s why we picked the room. Maybe the need to update their pictures.

The hotel itself was amazing. Very clean and friendly environment. The breakfast was good and staff was great and hospitable. The only issue we had was that the pool was closed. They didn’t say why but that’s one of the reason we go to The Hampton is for the indoor pool my kids love to swim so that was disappointing.

Nice Hotel but you can hear people walking around upstairs. This hotel needs more noise reduction. Other than that is was a good stay.

The room was spacious and clean. But we did not have a veiw at all it was just part of building. We were disappointed that the pool was unavailable thats why we choose this specific hotel

Good location. Next to walmart, chilis and gas station. The check in staff was very friendly. I would stay here again, but there were some minor issues. Unfortunately, the pool was broken. There were some slight problems with the appliances in the room.The mini fridge was broken, the TV did not change channels (but you could hook up a Firestick), the ice machines were broken for a day. There was also mold on the bathroom door. The breakfast on the weekends was great, but there were no rules about attending children, so they were free and sneezing on all the food. On Monday, the food was not stocked after opening so if you came after you did not get any food. There was complimentary cookies in the afternoon and coffee and tea.

The pool was being repaired. The Ice machine on our floor was broken. There were not nearly enough tables and chairs in the breakfast area on Saturday morning.

We found this hotel to be average at best. Noisy/congested location. The hotel showed a good deal of wear...website is over highlighted. Breakfast was minimal.
