No good

I have not stayed at a hostel in years, but this one was immaculate!!! It was like a fantasy hostel with everything you needed for a perfect visit to Montreal! Rooftop patio,bar, laundry room, kitchen, luggage storage,and privacy curtains on every bed. Mr. Nicholas was the star of the show...He gave me a warm friendly greeting,stored my luggage, was very professional, and made sure I had a lower bed.(Foot injury )The only negative thing I was slightly concerned about was the one ensuite for eight people. There were more facilities on the first floor, but when you got to go? Overall, I gave this hostel a ten!!!

I had a fantastic stay! Even though it was quite a busy weekend, my check-in and accommodation were great. Special thank you to the front desk staff :)

the staff, the common areas, the roof everything was beautiful and amazing. wish i had a chance to try the jacuzzi! I'll come again next year for sure

A fun youthful place to stay. Very hip clientele and nice rooftop hottubs.

The beds are very well designed, providing privacy and comfort. The shelves and hangers next to the bed are very thoughtfully placed. It was one of the most comfortable hostel stays I've ever had. The rooftop was also amazing.

Love the room.....we were in a one king bedroom and it was perfect. The area around the hotel is a bit sketchy but we had no serious issues. The outdoor hot tubs were perfect to wind down in and the on site bar was a real bonus.

I was very happy to find this hostel, and stay in a 4 person room. It’s by far the cleanest hostel I’ve ever stayed in. I made friends with my roommates, and there was a good beer selection in the bar downstairs. The rooftop was a great place to chill, although there is not much shade up there. I left a lower star rating because I didn’t sleep well there. Quiet hours are supposed to be 11-11 i believe, but there were kids screaming and running around the halls well past 12 and at 7 am. I called the desk at night and it seemed to quiet down after that, but it started up in the morning again. I think the staff should be more proactive about enforcing the quiet hours so that a good time could be had by all. Overall, a good place to stay at a reasonable rate, and i would stay there again.

Thank you for making my stay a memorable one.This was my first time ever staying at a Hostel. I’ve always been a bit skeptical in regard's to Hostel’s, but choose to give it a try. M Montreal exceeded my expectations, from staffing to room cleanness and maintenance. Train station availability and dinning options are also within walking distance which was a plus. Overall great experience for me. Would definitely recommend.

I was only there for one night. Pretty much in and out. But if/ when I go back to Montreal I would like to stay here again.

Awesome staff. It attracts very friendly and kind people as clients too. Enjoy d the hot tub and conversation. Love Traveling meeting great people. This place makes that happen.

Amazing desk staff - very nice, energetic, caring and helpful! Property was fantastic, clean, very nice room. The area around the hotel, like many inner city areas is rife with homelessness and drug use - many addicts using in the alley beside/across from the hotel, some yelling (a bit of screaming) and some noisy neighbours adjacent to the hotel. Not the hotels fault at all, just sad to see that there are so many people suffering in Montreal. If you're reading this review, look at the date - Montreal is a big mess of major road construction projects! We would not go back it was that bad trying to get around by bike/transit (Metro of course unaffected). And if you do go...we loved the Saigon Cafe (right across the road) and Red Tiger for dinner!

Even though M Hostel caters to a lot of young people, for someone who is middle-aged, the hotel is very comfortable and quiet. I liked having kitchen facilities in my room. The place is funky, bright, and pleasant, with lots of youthful energy. It's a great place for everyone!

Nice park close by with music. Convenient shopping. Super clean.

Our room was upgraded for free, staff was friendly, on site bar with pool and pingpong was fun
