All in all, a perfect stay - beautiful and spacious ground floor room, free on-site parking, close to Ilfracombe harbour. Very good, freshly cooked breakfast

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome. I had made a slight error on the booking but they were able to rectify the problem straight away. Room 2 was comfortable and very elegant with a modern ensuite. Breakfast was plentiful and tasted delicious. Plenty of parking space and lovely gardens with views. Fabulous location and within walking distance to the harbour and centre. Stayed for two nights and would definitely return.

This impressive property scores highly in most areas, with good parking on site. Staff/proprietors are friendly.
If you are not very sprightly 😬, the location is very good but if walking to the harbour, beware of the uphill return!

A wonderful stay at Laston House. Our bedroom was large with sea views. The building is gorgeous and very well maintained. Staff were very helpful and friendly. There was a great choice for breakfast and it was very tasty.
We will definitely stay there again, would highly recommend.

Lovely welcome, friendly and helpful staff. The room was warm and cosy, breakfast delicious and accommodation perfectly situated. I would recommend Laston House to others.

lovely high ceilinged room, clean and comfortable. characteristic building. friendly staff. plenty of car parking spaces. ideal location for exploring on foot.

Overall our Laston House experience could have been better. A poor start with insufficient toiletries and questions asked when an extra bar of soap was requested!. Lack of a bath mat on the first night was a slip hazzard no glasses/beakers until the second day. On arrival the room was very cold but after an hour or so warmed up when the electric wall heater was switched on. Breakfast was good for meat eaters, poor choice for vegetarians with only Linda McCartney sausages ! Insufficient parking led to parking on the grass verge and a note on the windscreen from the landlord who advised we should double park. Thankfully we were not woken up to move the car. All in all, a nice house in need of rennovation, lovely location but definately room for improvement.

A lovely b&b. We were called by the owners to find out our arrival time and were not only able to check in early bit also offered to have a sea view room despite not booking one. The house is large and room was full of character. The bed was large and comfy. The breakfast was freshly cooked and very tasty. The owner also gave us info about the town which was very helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

This is a lovely period property with a comfortable lounge, our bedroom was spacious with a well equipped en suite and recently decorated to a good standard. If we return to Ilfracombe this would definitely be our first choice for accommodation.

Lovely weekend with trip to Lundy on Saturday. Hosts/owners friendly and helpful. Comfortable bed, good breakfast, nice room.

We stayed here for two nights as a short getaway. We had not tried a traditional B & B before as we use the larger hotel chains for overnight stays. We were presently surprised, the feel was very different and was homely and comfortable. The house was very grand and there were many of the original features still there. There was plenty of breakfast and was served quickly. The hosts had the perfect balance between being welcoming while respecting your privacy. If we visit Ilfracombe again, we will definitely use Laston house again.

Bedroom clean and spacious but one side of the bed was uncomfortable. The size of the TV was too small for the size of the room. The en-suite was quite narrow but offered a deep bath. The full English breakfast was very good which also included a vege option. The building has been tastefully decorated and in a good position. Would stay again as it was a nice place and not over priced.

The welcome was warm, hospitality hearty, host friendly and went out of his way for me, very comfortable, would definitely book there again.
