Pool area was not attractive at all- 1 lady had 7 chairs taken (with towels) but not even there - left over drinks everywhere- with food containers also

Fantastic upgrade to a suite with seperate lounge.
5 star indulgence. Cafes and convenience store downstairs. Star Casino next door.

It was fantastic, on arrival with 2 teenage grandchildren I was told I was updated. It was awesome, overlooking the harbor. The staff were very welcoming. We were going to the Lyric Theatre.

Room is clean, though is a bit small with just a couch. Difficult to work on a couch so we requested a chair. The staff was helpful and provide us one.
We had a $50 voucher to use, however all of our 3 nights stay the in room dining menu is the same. it could be better if there are more choices.
The buffet breakfast is in a different building in the Star. Plenty of choices and is spacious, but the hygiene could be improved. As seen there are insects in the area. Greatly reduced the appetite.
The gym room in the Darling hotel is small, and do not have any soft bench to sit on for workout.
There could be more signage on how to drive to the pickup or drop off area in the Darling hotel. As requested Uber ride several times, but the drivers mostly have trouble finding the entrance and parked far away opposite the hotel.
Overall, the staff are very helpful and nice and assisted us throughout. Would love to come back next time travelling.

Beautiful hotel in great location to get around Sydney. The true treasure of this hotel is its staff. We travel extensively and the service by every single staff member at this hotel is exemplary. An absolute credit to the hotel. The warmth and genuine hospitality is the best we have encountered. The rooms are beautiful and luxurious and serviced twice daily.

Did not have my booking on record even when I showed them my confirmation email. Took 30 minutes to sort it out and give me a room.

Booked a twin and stayed with my mum in a twin room, booked spa treatments and used the sauna and steam room. The staff were exceptionally helpful at reception, sending the room keys to the spa for us so we could go directly to our room after treatments. Larger or more water in the room would be desirable as would sparkling option.

Loved our 4 night stay! Staff were attentive and room service was perfect! We would stay again as a family here. Walking to the museum and aquarium was quick and not far from the city.

Couldn’t fault it, perfect family stay. Staff and service excellent. Convenient location including a Coles across the road. The dining options in the casino was great for a family not wanting to have to go out each night for dinner.

We came to see the Musical &Juliet and staying at the Star was perfect. Even though we arrived at 12 the room was ready and all the staff were very welcoming. We stayed in their basic room which was great. Plenty of room and really nice fittings and bathroom. We were able to walk everywhere during the day and enjoy Darling Harbour and Circular Quay. Definitely stay again.

Who ever was responsible for the lobby refurbishing did a terrible job they took what was a unique beautiful fun boutique individual style and turned it into a standard boring hilton marriott corporate looking lobby

The check in staff were very attentive when I arrived to check, especially so after I had fallen over on the way to the hotel. They made sure I was ok and offered to get a doctor if I needed one. Very reassuring. Will be back I’m sure.

Everything was of excellent quality. We went for a show at the Star so it was convenient to that. Show bed and pillows were all luxurious. Loved our stay. It’s better value and higher standard than other hotels in this area.

My husband and I stayed for our wedding anniversary and had the best weekend and awe were upgraded to a beautiful suite. The concierge made sure we were well taken care of and even arranged for a surprise from the cast of the musical we were seeing.
