This property was clean & the staff was friendly & professional

It was our first time staying at this particular Hilton Garden Inn in Virginia Beach. The food at the restaurant was amazing! We really enjoyed the breakfast there. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I would also add some gluten free options for the breakfast buffet. Overall, it was a nice hotel and we would stay there again.

I like the area but i dont like the staffs. Most front desk peoples not nice.

Great place to stay with kids! You are right on the beach and easy to get to places. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. The only negative was the beds are super uncomfortable.

The restaurant on site had great food. For the price we paid, breakfast should have been included. Room condition was fair. There were long hairs in and in the toilet upon arrival. Room was so humid the floor was literally wet in spots (under the desk). Had to wear socks to avoid feet sticking to floor. Other than a QR code on the mirror (which not everyone knows how to use) I was provided no information about the hotel services, wifi, etc. Printed information would have been helpful.

When we arrived at the hotel on Sunday about 4:15pm and found out that our room wasn't ready. We were disappointed. That was no excuses for not have our room ready by 4pm. So we all sat down in the lobby area but then the lady(I forgot her name but I think she is the manager) came out and asked us if we have been helping. I told her that we are waiting for our room then she immediately went back to the front desk and found the room for us right away. That was so nice of her to take extra step to make sure her customers happy. She represented Hilton very well. Friendly, professionalism and caring. I wish everyone there should have same attitudes like her. Our kids were so happy that they can go get change to enjoy the ocean and the pool. We definitely come back again

Great view and we had a great time. Comparing this hotel I’d say it’s sure no resort, but great view and nice outdoor pool make it fun for a family trip. Service is okay. Not overly friendly but accessible. Not really any real room service when I asked for a menu I didn’t get a reply so plan to get your food from the hotel bar in person or another restaurant. Lots of food choices around the hotel. Great clean beach too. I do recommend this hotel.

The Hilton is very nice, clean and the staff is friendly. On the 3rd night there, the fire alarm starting going off at 4:30 am. It went off again 4 more times until 5:30 am.. I called the front desk and they said they don't know why the alarm was going off. We were not offered any compensation for the inconvenience. The parking is expensive. You have 2 choices, you can valet, $25 a day and you are encouraged to "take care of the guys" when they bring you your car and when you turn it back in, we tipped $5 each time on top of the $25 a day we already had to pay. The other option is $20 a day in a huge parking garage, a block away. Everyone is nice, but you pay for every bit of it. :(

There was a dead cockroach inside our hotel room at arrival. Despite that, we really did enjoy our stay and overall liked the place.

Everything was great room hotel staff convenient. Had a great time even though it rained most of our stay. Will most certainly do it again.

Meh just meh Place is fine. Nothing fabulous nothing bad. Unless you need a manger or concierge. Then good luck to you bc they seem to not exist. We are Hilton members, and the concierge was never there even Though we were told daily to go down to the concierge our package. Never saw concierge one time and We checked daily and and all different times. Had a billing issue called when we got home every single time we called we were told to call back to speak to the manager. I could literally hear the front desk talking to the manager and then telling me to call back. Front desk and cleaning services were wonderful. Very accomadating very nice and helpful and seemed to be doing everything without a manager or concierge.

The area was nice. We would have liked for there to be more activities nearby.

traveling with little children. Prior to checking in, I had to wait for around two hours. A worker at the front desk claimed that the system was down. then, when I was eventually allowed to check in, the front desk employees were really rude. She demanded payment for the whole cost of my stay. She wouldn't let me finish my sentence; instead, she persisted in insisting that I must pay the entire amount. I attempted to clarify that I had already paid a portion and that I had my receipt. It got even worse when she called her manager after that. The manager made an attempt to scare me by threatening to contact the police. After making a phone call, she printed off some paper and instructed me to walk outside and wait for the cops, who never showed up. I would never advise anyone with children to stay at this hotel, and I have reported an incident on the property. I had to shorten my vacation.

After reading reviews we chose this hotel for our family vacation. We were very disappointed in the check in the choice of words used with the staff. For meaning of late check in. We were affected by the global shut down instead of accommodation from the hotel we waited almost 3 hours to get our room. The entrance is not very spacious as it was but many were crammed in waiting for the hotel to get the system fixed for hours. Excuses from staff and complete inability to speak to guests with hearing complaining they also had been working with this issue for 30 plus hours like it was the guests problem. By then they shouldn't had a game plan for next day for the future gueats. We had a small balcony but the view was amazing I would say that was the only plus staying here. Hotel had trash outside and throughout the halls. Ac turned off at night making the room uncomfortable to sleep in. Ac was set on a certain temperature and throughout the day we noticed it hot again around 2pm room was 73 which maybe ok for some but obviously heat if the day. everyone is different in comfort seems it sets at that temp and shuts off certain times of the day. Price did not match service will not be using them in the future.

The staff at the front desk were not particularly friendly. The room was overpriced. The pool area was very small and crowded-not that appealing.

Safe,walkable and convenient

Everyone was very nice expecially Emily at the front desk, Ronnie who did the valet parking. There also was a person (I cannot remember her name, but she was in charge of everyone for the breakfast) who had a lot to do and manage. She was right on top of everything doing everything that needed to be done along with keeping track of what the staff was doing, what needed to be done, and making sure the kitchen, food, and customers had everything they needed.

My day was very good. I liked my room and the only complaint I would have is the bathroom was extremely hot with no ventilation.

Everything was great, loved the coffee and water downstairs in dispensers. Only complaint would be the tv didn’t work well, cable kept going in and out and we couldn’t stream our phones. Only noticed because we were stuck inside a few hours due to rain.

The room clearly was cleaned in haste prior to our check- in, the balcony, bathroom, behind the bed and nightstands, as well as the general floor area all had signs that the room could have used more attention with general cleaning. All other areas of the hotel were amazing!
