Room number 240 was terrible, it was like a hospital room without any: water, toothbrush, hair dryer…in the reception not even a band-aid…poor breakfast offer and paid almost 500 euros

We were travelling with our daughter, and the room had a bunk bed fixed transversely over the head end of the double bed. No issues with this, but there was hardly any space to keep our luggage in the room since it was really tiny. The toilet and bath area were separate, which allowed two to use the facilities simultaneously, but there were no hooks to hang your clothes or towels on, probably because the partitions were all made of thin boards.
On the plus side, the rooms were very clean and tidy, and the staff were excellent, going out of their way to help us. We arrived early in the morning, and were offered an early check in when we went there to ask if we could leave the luggage in the reception while we went on a tour. Their breakfast was also reasonably priced, compared to what you would have to pay for just a croissant and coffee in the shops around the town.
I would put this as an ideal room for a budget conscious couple, but best avoided if you are travelling with kids or friends, due to the lack of privacy for bathing or using the toilet.

Properly the worst hotel I have stayed at.
The room was dirty and worn down.
Not good breakfast - I definitely recommend to find breakfast elsewhere.
But the worst thing was the room itself. If there were any hot water in the shower it was fluctuating between burning hot and ice cold.
The light in the room didn´t really work and where sometimes blinking during the night.

The location is why it got 2 stars. Very close to the city. Unfortunately, the ac didn’t work and it was super noisy with the window open. You couldn’t close the blinds or shade either (both broken) so it was very bright. I never slept.

Hotel room is too clumsy and bad arrangement is not too safe especially for kids with high chances of hitting the heads over the bed frames. Not recommended for family.

The shower door is transparent, no privacy. Water in the shower gets icy cold then scarlding hot next.

Very bad behaviour from the reception staff. Very rude behaviour. Room is not clean. Dirty linens and smelly wash room. The bath room is so small that you may need some to assist you to pull you out !!!!!

Friendly helpful front desk staff who were eager to help and who had good knowledge of the town.
Hotel much better than other ibis budget locations on the same holiday.
Luzan is lovely and do recommend Mount Pilatus- we had a fantastic day on the golden tour. Do the boat leg first!

It is a basic hotel, so no frills. A few minutes walk to the train station or the lake and a few minutes more to the city center. Parking was available for 9 €. Felt safe. Though quite next to train tracks quiet night. Perfect for stopover. Room was clean.

I stayed for 3 nights with my wife and 2 year old. Room was big with everything that is needed. We opted for breakfast and it was great with plenty of options. Only downside was AC was not working properly even when it was 30 degree so room was very warm.

It was overall pretty good stay there (3 nights) . Staffs were very helpful and friendly. In the room , fresh towels were there everyday, everything was taken cared but it would have been even better if the continued rooms were at least swept quickly a bit because the dust had accumulated over the floor one of us is allergic to it.

Great location just a few stops from the train station. Convenient for those traveling on a budget. Make sure that the front desk provides the Lucerne City pass to offer local city discounts.

Location is good but property was little smaller as need to juggle the room space but wasn’t that bad as I stayed just one night there.

The hotel is located close to the train station but it’s still 15 minutes at least. The rooms are small but we managed to get around with bags and kids. The breakfast is okay but taste is very commercial ( similar to gas station croissants) so not at all impressive( this was after our stay in Italy so we were spoiled for taste!). The staff is very helpful and try hard to accommodate the needs of the guests. It’s a good option for budget travelers.

Property as described is budget only, everything else fine except it is difficult to stay when temperature is hot as AC is not working as expected, staff is very nice and helpful

The location of the hotel is convenient. The room is clean as well, but the there are not much light in the room and it is too small.

There is no soap provided. Soap case is just a flat platform in the stall, which is slightly slant. Our soap bar does stay put and keeps on sliding down.
Shower hot and cold control is the worse. It either gives out super cold super hot water.
Dead bolt doesn’t work.
Shower door is transparent and open to main room. Making it awkward to take shower in it.
Toilet door doesn’t lock.

We didn’t like hotel at all. This was our first stay in ibis budget and was quite bad and I’m not going to recommend this to anyone.
- poor quality rooms - looks like prison cell. Hardly any air.
- the room always had a smell.
- breakfast was minimal.
- very un accommodative staff, I had 2 rooms and my daughter was sick and we wanted to move out. But the hotel only give us refund for one room for 2 days. Which I felt extremely irresponsible and rude.
Overall quite horrible experience which also made our Lucerne express not great.
Never IBIS again !!

Overall the stay was good. However we were 3 adults who all paid the same amount and my son who is 28 wasn't happy about climbing into a bunk bed above his parents head. However for a child no problem. The room was also very small for 3 adults at times we were falling over each other.

It should be renamed Ibis Hostel. Check in process was pleasant, receptionists were friendly, but the room condition, omg, the room smells mold and toilet is smelly. It’s as if the toilet has never been deep cleaned. I tried to fix the toilet smell by pouring body wash and then flush, for 3 times, and no, it did not work and still smells so terrible.
