This is a great budget option. Although it is much more enjoyable in the quiet season than the busy. Clean enough. Good breakfast. Location is great. Could do with some more maintenance. But for the price it is alright.

Bathroom mouldy and shower very narrow. Room was dark. Breakfast buffet very simple and limited but ok. 2nd pool at back better than the smaller one at the front. Staff generally a bit indifferent. Wifi worked well.

First time in Bali, didn’t know what to expect. Hotel was inexpensive, had air conditioning. A little run down, but they are working on it. Breakfast included, just fruit, eggs and bread with juice, coffee or tea. Also something Indonesia daily. Comfortable enough and pretty close to beach.

we have been staying at the kumala for 15years we like it because it's quiet and does not attract the bring home the party from Kuta type the only thing that faults it is there is little upkeep and there is always issues as long as you can live with that it's a great hotel

A Balinese style hotel with lovely gardens and pools, close to beach, restaurants, shopping etc. A peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of Bali. Very simple breakfast. Good value for money.

My room was spacious with good cupboard /wardrobe space. It was lovely to have a choice of 2 pools. The back one in the best condition. The breakfast was good. The menu for other meals was diverse enough. Staff were great. The only problem i had was that you need to hire fridge seperately. Another customer told me about this arrangement or i wouldnt have known. Also no tea/coffee making facilities in room.

Great location. Love the style of thevolder building, except some rooms are quite run down. They agrredcm to move us and we had great time. Breakfast and restaurat very good.

I loved the pool but one if the step ladders were broken when we arrived. My mum is disabled and i mentioned this in our booking. They had us upstairs in a room. Which was filled with mould. We moved downstairs by the other pool which was nicer. But on expedia it showered two twin beds and we only had 2 singles..

the standard room we received was horrible, dust on the furniture like nobody were living there fo 5 years. Shower was so rusted that the water was not running and I could not make myself wet beside the fact it was cold. no wifi reception whatsoever. Next day we spoke with the receptionist and they moved us to a better (the one that was on the picture for the standard one that made us to book it in the first place!) wich according them was higher class... and we had to change our room at some point of our 2 weeks stay to a the similar one.... the pool was not always clean and food is quite bad. Would not recommend, they really cheat providing the wrong pics of the room....

Older style Balinese hotel with a basic breakfast but close to Double Six and many restaurants

Rooms were very big and quite comfortable. We were happy with what we got for what we paid. Breaks was basic but adequate. Staff were very good and tried hard to make us welcome. But being a budget hotel don’t expect the trimmings ofbetter hotels.

Nice hotel close to beach, shopping, restaurants and easy to get around the area.

Lovely old style Balinese Hotel in a great location. 5 minute walk to Double six beach and great on beach restaurants. Rooms are old but clean. Main complaint was that air con kept turning off so we woke up boiling in the night. Probably should have said something to staff. Pool and grounds were great!

This is a bit of a quirky old hotel in a great location, 5 minutes walk to the beach, close to shops and restaurants. The staff are all very pleasant and helpful. The rooms are fairly basic but clean and for a budget hotel it is good value.

This now dated hotel exudes a tropical feel unlike more modern properties...very pleasant garden enviroment.Book at least the superior room either garden or upper balcony.Breakfast was fine and staff friendly.
