My wife and I had the perfect stay for three days at Valhalla. With my wife ill the past months, we desired an escape that would be something special. Valhalla supplied the recovery we needed for meditation and relaxation. The staff and meals were excellent.

This was an anniversary stay, a quick getaway, and aside from the reviews, I didn't have anything to work off of. I was pleasantly surprised with the accommodations, overall environment, and the surrounding activities. If we were golfers, we probably would have been able to enjoy the facilities even further....but that was not a negative. It was very peaceful, and my spouse and I took full advantage of the multiple spa services, which were fantastic. I have read some reviews about the prices, but we found the cost of meals to be comparable to other dining options. The food quality was also good, and the service and staff matched. Also, considering what you would save by staying in Helen, I think you would rather pay a little more and have the resort accommodation. I have little to complain about, and any "issues" I would have would be more like "nitpicks." I think the resort fees are unnecessary and just a way to charge extra to the guest. Also, the facility is well maintained and clean, but I felt certain areas could benefit from a little upgrade. If you stay a few days, you will notice the little things, but they are not enough to take away from the trip. However, if you charge resort fees, one would think it would go to taking the resort to the next level. Overall, our trip to the resort was a thoroughly enjoyable experience that we would gladly repeat!

We loved our stay at Valhalla July 24. Very welcoming, pet friendly! The staff was the best! Definitely worth a visit!

I cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay at Valhalla. It was such a surprise because I was not expecting it to be so nice. It was so much so we stayed an extra day. I used the spa and used the small but adequate gym. There is really no need to go to Helen which was touristy. The staff was stellar sooo helpful and friendly. Highly recommend.

What a haven from the hustle and bustle of downtown Helen. The grounds were well kept, the pool was beautiful and the staff were amazing. We travel a lot but this is one place where we will definitely return.

Wow, tucked away in Helen, Ga is this luxurious, quiet, full service hotel resort. The room was laid out very nicely with a sitting area, fireplace and tv. Really nice size bathrm for a hotel, with even a door for a private toilet. We had one of the pet friendly rooms, our chihauhau loved the treats they had for her. The food was excellent, the pool very nice, we played pickle ball, we did not check out the golf course. The staff was always very pleasant and accommodating, A definite return.

Beautiful building and the staff was so personal. The Mountain Views from the conservatory style dining area were so beautiful. We will return in the fall The room had a comfortable seating area with a gas fireplace. Really everything was great.

I feel like this place is one of the best kept secrets in north Georgia. When I booked my room, I got a call maybe 10 minutes later confirming my reservation and I was asked if I wanted to add any additional dinner reservations or accommodations. Valet parked our vehicle when we arrived, carried out bags in, breakfast in bed was brought at time promised, room was super clean. Highly recommend, we will book again. Great for couples retreat

Judy and Daniel were so friendly and helpful. The room was clean and beautiful with a great view from the balcony. The resort was only 4 minutes from downtown Helen. We felt welcomed and would definitely stay again!

The most amazing place to stay, very personable experience. Everybody went above and beyond. They made us feel VIP from the moment with step foot inside the resort.

From the moment we arrived at the gate, our name was beautifully printed on an envelope filled with information. We pulled up to this beautiful cozy hotel/resort. We were met with the valet, who unloaded the luggage and then offered us a complimentary glass of champagne she was so attentive to us, learned our names, explained everything about the layout. Our suite was huge, two TV's fireplace and a glorious plush bed. A three ring notebook filled with any questions you may have, both at Valhalla and the surrounding areas, hikes, wineries anything outdoors. The staff was second to none everyone went out of their way to make you feel welcomed. The pricing for breakfast and lunch no more than you would spend in Helen. The food was delicious and beautiful. I had a massage and facial both felt like heaven. The views were simply overwhelming in its beauty. The hotel was clean, I felt very safe...my next trip will definitely include Valhalla! Small children might get bored, but with all the water parks, tubing, hiking and kayaking school age and up will find plenty to do. I'm not a golfer but from looking at it it was well maintained and you couldn't ask for better views. Great venue for a wedding or any other celebration.

This property exceeded expectations! While it was a little closer to the main strip in Helen than I realized, it felt very secluded and quiet. We had a great meal in the restaurant and excellent spa treatments. The room was spacious and well-appointed. We enjoyed the fireplace. Mini bar was well stocked and very affordable. We will definitely come back!
