Room was very clean and bed was comfortable. Would definitely recommend. Beautiful area to visit.

Towels and shower dirty

Clean as could be, top notch!! No coffee available in room, refer was stained inside with rusted screws that had dropped to the bottom of refer and had stained all the bottom, TV was difficult to find what channels were what. Bottom line a solid 4 stars

It’s fine for a quick overnight. It was clean and the staff was friendly. There are really no amenities and it is surrounded by blacktop on a busy road.

It was OK. We had no bath towels and no one was at the desk to assist when we needed to shower and leave

Dirty, unsafe, employee for morning shift did not show up for work

This is a basic motel accommodation. Clean, updated, room. Comfortable bed. Nice bathroom and shower. Shower pressure was very good (noticed some other reviews that commented it was not so that’s why we stated it). Breakfast of cereal, boiled eggs, toast and OJ. Given other hotel choices in the area, this seemed to be best value. Would stay here again.

The room was exceptionally clean, and everything was in good working order. Very satisfied, and would stay again!

Room smelled

1st time staying here on our way thru Maine. Very easy to access off the expressway with lots of chain restuarants and stores close by. An older property that has been very recently renovated and modernized. They've done a great job making a clean, modern, comfortable property. Great value for the money. I'd stay here again when in the area.

The female at the office during my check in was very helpful. Our room was very clean and very quiet. Would stay there again.

Clean room, newly renovated, comfortable beds, quiet….but the room felt very damp And had an overwhelming smell of cologne or air freshener…we Couldn’t put our finger on it. It was fine for the night.

Excellent property for a non chain hotel. Easy check in, beautiful rooms, good front desk service.

I liked how it was close to everything we needed

Spent nearly $250/night on each of two rooms. Sheets in one room hadn’t been changed. Body hair and fluids on sheets and coverlet. Flooring was coming off onto our feet. Found a bug that looked a lot like a bed bug, but we weren’t certain. Probably wouldn’t have assumed it was if the rest of the experience had lived up to their road sign, “Clean and Updated.” It had been updated.

I decided to stay here after stopping at another hotel with a similar price nearby. The reviews looked great on hotels.com. Upon arrival, i was moved from the room i booked to the "Annex" because my room had not been cleaned yet and it was late so i get it. The room I did get looked good with the upgrades they did. The problem I had was the pillows and sheets had not been changed from the last person. I found hair on all of the pillows and in the bed. Pubic and regular. By the time i got back from eating and got in the bed, It was after 10pm so the front desk had left for the night. I sucked it up and shook off the sheets and pillows, layed a bath towel on the pillow I was going to use to make it usable and tried to sleep. The humidity in the room would not go away. The rooms air was wet all night. I couldnt sleep at all. I finally got up and left early in the morning to continue traveling to my job site. I booked this place against my better judgement going by the reviews. I will say, if they start cleaning the beds properly and get the AC fixed, it could be a solid room. At $244 for the night, i got screwed.

Overall ok stay and accommodation. Ice machine is broken. Convenient location and rooms are ok. The rooms have been updated in the last several years. Some minor maintenance issues. Water pooling in front of room doors (1st floor). Leaky toilet and some peeing paint. Again minor issues. Towel rack coming away from the wall. Shower stall isn't sealed (puddle of water on bathroom floor).

Clean and updated rooms. Some maintenance issues starting to be overlooked. But, dollar for dollar best value in Waterville. Convenient location. They offer free continental breakfast but haven't checked it out yet. Ice machine is broken. Very inconvenient with this heat we've been having. We will stay here again.

Decent highway-side motel. Room was small but on the plus side, recently updated so everything was pretty new and quite clean.

This property is in the middle of everything easy to get to anything you want is within feet of the property place was clean. Staff was excellent.

Located conveniently next to the highway, the Elmwood was a comfortable modern stay. Complete with a free breakfast in the morning. The AC was cool and the towels were fresh.

Quite

Not a bad room once we got the air cooled on one of the hottest days of the year. The hotel has gone through some renovations so the inside of the rooms are nice, but I still felt the exterior and public areas could use some help. I will say the choice for updates in the room feels high end, but you still feel like you’re in an old Motel 6 when you walk outside. Do not expect anything fabulous for the continental breakfast as the selection is very minimal. The beds are comfy, but the pillows lack some firmness. Again, a very clean room that gave me a decent night sleep, though I did feel a little exposed by the motel feel.

The room was very clean and nice. Shower was amazing beds were comfortable. Would have been nice to have a table on side of bed and a blowdryer in the room. But other then that very clean people where friendly would definitely stay there again. We stayed there for 6 days. Very close to shopping and food.

Easy check in and check out process. Pretty small hotel in a small town in Maine so was not expecting anything extravagant. Just needed some where to stay for wedding. There was a small gap on the door to room so when a bad rain storm came through, water started pouring through the door. Dried up quickly so not a huge deal. Besides that no issues. Seems like place has been renovated recently but still feel like the rooms have a slight moldy stench.

Part of the sidewalk outside the room was dirt...bedding was too small for the king size bed and the comforter on the bed was old and thin. No coffee in the room. Would not recommend this property.

I liked that it was easy access just off the highway, however housekeeping had not done a good job cleaning the room before I got there. Unfortunately I didn’t notice some type of drink had been spilled on the nightstand, leaving it sticky, until after I set my cellphone, book and glasses on it. The only thing I had to drink in the room was water. The desk also had sticky drink residue on it. The cable was very limited, only a few channels, and reception quality was poor. The box of tissues in the bathroom only had a few tissues left in it. The shower was decent though.
