We have used this motel for decades. Our only issue was no additional coffee was replaced after our first night. But we did enjoy the breakfast.

Worst motel I've stayed at in years. The person at the front desk was rude and insulting. When we got to the room it was musty, you could tell it hadn't been used or cleaned for a while. In the bathroom there was a ball of hair and lint next to the toilet by the tub. The bottom of the bathtub was cracked,and they just covered it with tape. I felt like I could fall through it at any moment during my shower. The bed was very uncomfortable, and even though it wasn't an actual bed bug. I found a bug in my bed. In the morning the coffee machine in the room didn't work properly. So I went to the lobby to get coffee, and the machine was empty. There was a pitcher sitting on the counter marked juice. I poured a cup, and it wasn't juice. It was Tang, and it wasn't even cold.
If this is the type of experience Motel 8 wants you to have them I will never stay at another one anywhere ever! Worst stay at a motel EVER! Don't waste your money, go to the next place!

The comforter was soiled, the sheets were so old that I couldn’t tell if they were dirty or just see through, therefore I slept in the bed with my clothes on with no covers, the facility all around was dirty and had they worst mold smell! I added pictures from my bathroom that didn’t look like it had been cleaned in a while. I don’t usually write reviews for I use to work at a hotel and I have stayed in many of hotels in my lifetime. This was the worst place I have ever stayed at. I wish I had taken more pictures but I was so tired and in a hurry to leave in the morning.

Property is at a very convenient place if you are traveling since it is closer to highway. Staff was good. But the room has issues like no outlets for charging your devices. Bathtub in our room was patched with a plastic and it was wiggly when you stand on it. Todattly, didn't justify price point.

Due to it being a Wyndom” we expected more. The sheets and towels were clean so at least we had a place to sleep. We could walk to McDonalds for breakfast, so that was nice.

The person at the desk was great! When we went to our first room there was a very bad chemical smell that aggravated my husbands asthma and gave me a headache. The desk clerk let us check two rooms to see if they worked better. One did, so we stayed. The room was tidy but lacking in outlets. I have a cpap and the only outlet by the bed only had one plug in that worked, so we had no light by the bed for reading. Also, the floors are very weird and mushy. They didn't feel very safe.

There's no elevator and my room was on 3rd floor. Two darling children 5 and 8 years old carried my heavy bag up. There was no shower curtain, so I had to use towels to mop up the water.

The room smells bad, too much bleach, hard to breath. The front desk lady did her best to find us a new room, but the 2nd room smelled the same. The matt at the entrance was very dirty. Dont expect much for breakfast and no room for eating cereal ir coffee. Wont go back.

Cons: Place is run down. They gave us an occupied room at first. The second room is dirtier than expected, especially the floor and chair. White sheets had grease smudges. Multiple burned out bulbs. Dust and crumbs in the room. Common areas hadn’t been swept. Building smelled funky.
Pros: We slept ok, neighbors were quiet, shower worked well, towels and soap/shampoo were good, toilet wasn’t perfect but drains worked well. Included breakfast was satisfactory.

The room appeared clean but we found a baby pacifier on the floor. Only had 2 electric outlets in the room. One did not have a face plate the other you had to wiggle your cords. The door safety latch was broken. The bathroom door didn't shut completely. The laminate flooring squeeked and appeared loose. The TV wasn't working and had to be reset. The attendant said that happens all the time. He said he didn't know why. One of the mattresses creeked when you moved. Very limited breakfast and the coffee was cold.

Stayed overnight while traveling home. I would not recommend staying here. Outlet by the bed had no cover plate, lock was broken off the door and had a strange smell. Pay a little more and stay somewhere else.

Our tub had a crack at the bottom. That was taped together. When you stood in it. You can feel rhe multiple cracks. Didnt realize the tub was the way it was til morning. Because we got in late. The last room available. Which it should have been. The way the bathroom was

It is an older hotel but was clean and the staff were super friendly. When passing through we will stay again. Breakfast was simple but nice. Cable was a little spotty but i figure it was the area.

The motel smelled awful when we walked in the doors. The carpets were filthy, the hallway was laminate flooring but filthy. Im pretty sure our room floor hadn't been swept or mopped for a very long time. My husband walked from the bed to the shower, which was running. When he got in, there was dirty feet marks like he had went across a parking lot bare foot. There was a spiders nest on the ceiling above the bathroom sink. When it hatches there will be spiders every where. THE OVERALL PLACE WAS DISGUSTING

Hallways and rooms felt slightly unclean and smelled. However, the front desk lady was phenomenal!! She went above and beyond every question, concern, or need! I will stay here again, but is older, is run down.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. It has terrible curb appeal and looks run down. It could be spruced up, and would attract more customers. It is right next to McDonald's which might be convenient for some. We would stay here again.

I don't know where to start other than to say that this hotel is in Raton, New Mexico which speaks volumes.
The place smelled like weed, bad cooking and crime scene clean up. The TV didn't work, only one light was working. The other two, I have no idea other than one did not have a bulb. The outlet near the bed only had one working plug in, so I had to unplug the only working light in the room to plug in my phone.
Really, you should avoid Raton like the plague, but if you have to stay in Raton, avoid the Super 8 like you owe it child support.

I saw many homeless people around the hotel, which made me concerned about the safety of my vehicle while staying at the hotel. The "breakfast" was coffee, cereal, and bagels.
