Room has torn drapes and bed headboard, slight smell of covered up cigarette smoke. Parking lot has trash and broken glass in it…..pretty beat-up Holiday Inn.

Today I was scheduled to fly from CHS to LAS on a 8am flight. The passengers were boarded and an issue was discovered with a misfire of a sensor. Thankful it was caught before take off even though it was thought to not be critical for flying. My discontent is how everything was handled afterwards. I am attending a conference in LAS that starts on Sunday and was informed the next flight wouldn’t be until sometime Monday. I decided to find another flight with Delta that cost more money. Spirit refunded the money that was spent to purchase the one way ticket but nothing for the cost ($370 35) for the new flight to get me to my destination. I believe I should be fully compensated and reimbursed for the ticket I had to purchase due to this issue not being my fault. I am thankful they grounded the plane but upset I was not fully compensated for the unconvinced and the new ticket. Sharelle Brown 248-396-8085 [email protected]

Had everything we needed to include a 24-hour free shuttle to and from the airport and a pretty good restaurant on the premises.

Staff was awesome

We checked in around 9:30pm. The lady at the desk clearly wasn't feeling well and was blotting her red eye with a tissue then continuted to touch all of our cards, etc so we were really worried about getting pink eye. As soon as we went to the room, we tried using the bathroom to wash our hands, only to discover the light in the bathroom was not working. We were tired so we didn't bother with calling the desk, and we had an early flight to catch so we went to bed. Overall pretty quiet for the area. Air wasn't as cool as we hoped it would be. It was set on 66 and we were still warm. Then when I went for breakfast in the morning (it ends at 9:30am!) it was in a restaurand and I had to go back to the desk and ask for a voucher because I had already paid for it on hotels.com. When I spoke to the lady at the desk (different from when we checked in) I told her the light wasn't working in our bathroom. She said you have to insert your card in a slot near the switches to make the lights work. WHAT?! Upon check-in she did not tell us this, too worried about her eye. We had moved a light from the desk into the bathroom. Anyway, that is just ridiculous. A light should work when you turn on the switch. So, breakfast was ok. The waitress was concerned the cook had shut off the grill already because it was right at 9:30 but I was able to get some. Not sure I'd stay here again with all the hassle, but at least now I know for in the future if the lights don't work. LOL

The staff was very pleasant and efficient. The facility was fine for a hotel close to the airport. It was a little older, and anytime a guest room has carpet floors. I feel a little uneasy about the overall ability to keep it clean. It was more costly than most of the other hotels in the area, so the value was not the best. The staff was very nice.
