Lovely place set in a garden and so much better than staying in a sterile hotel. Breakfasts are the best and lovely staff.

As per all the happy faces given for everything from staff to cleanliness, to location and everthing in-between, my face was happy from beginning to end.

Very nice and quiet place. The breakfast is delicious, and rooms are spacious and clean.

Staff at reception, dining and bedroom all of them were efficient and kind. Bedroom was spacious and clean, large bed, good mattress and pillows. Breakfast was great. We enjoyed staying at Rivonia Bed & Breakfast and will come back. Expedia special tariffs was very good. It worth every cent.

Cleanliness — we couldn't help but notice the ugly grey mould growth around the caulking and in the corners of the tub area. Not very appealing I gotta tell you, not very appealing at all! And staying with the cleanliness theme, the carpet mats in the room area have likely been there for quite some time. I can only imagine how many pairs of sweaty feet have traipsed over them. Time for a refresh, or even better yet, get rid of them completely and stick with only the tiled floor. Sleep Quality -- you have to do better! My partner and I have stayed at B&Bs the world over and in our opinion at least the mattresses your establishment provided rank as some of the poorest we have come access. You’re in the BED business after all where guests are looking for a luxurious BED experience. The mattresses you provide should be plush and COMFORTABLE to sleep in. An “oh my God these beds are beautiful” experience is what we were expecting. The thin, firm and well-worn product provided by Rivonia is certainly not worthy of the rate they charge to rent the room. We also ordered a dinner one evening at their restaurant. For the most part the meal served was satisfactory, but the lead time could be shortened. I appreciate that their food is prepared fresh to order but waiting some 45 minutes for a burger to show up is a little excessive in my view. Breakfast however was of superior quality and the staff in attendance for the breakfast service were excellent.

Fabulous! Clean, comfortable, beautiful grounds and wonderful breakfast. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Wish we were staying longer.

Lovely hotel with great breakfast of your choice, The staff are very helpful reception and just everyone willing to help all the time , Beautiful garden and the swimming pool is a little bit small but okey , I recommend this hotel to everyone who like quiet and secure place

Wonderfully welcoming and hospitable staff who made my stay very enjoyable. The location is safe and easy to get to, while the rooms are clean and spacious. Breakfast is delicious with lots of options including cooked meals. Plus, there’s the option to pre book evening meals mid week - perfect if you’re jet lagged or on a quick layover. The staff are happy to help with anything and I felt very safe and happy there.

Our experience at the Rivonia was excellent! The staff was super friendly and helpful and the grounds were beautiful. Would not hesitate to stay there again.

Service was above and beyond. Arranged for a driver to show us Soweto and the area. Helpful on everything. Wonderful start to our first trip to South Africa.

We booked Rivonia B & B due to our air travel being in the evening. We found this to be far more comfortable than staying at a hotel. We could not have been happier with our accommodation and the staff provided excellent service. A driver was also available should the clients wish to take advantage of this service. We would thoroughly recommend this attractive well maintained facility to travellers desiring pleasant and comfortable short term accommodation.

We have again enjoyed our stay at Rivonia B & B. Everyone is cheerful and friendly and keen to help. The transfers to and from the airport saved a lot of effort. The accommodation is superb and set in beautiful gardens. Breakfast is always excellent and the setting provides the opportunity to watch the birds feeding at the same time. The wi-if is also good. Many thanks to all at Rivonia B & B. We hope to return soon.

I have stayed at this hotel before and returned finding the same excellence as my previous experience. The staff and service is of a very high quality. They are very accommodating and allowed us to get into our room early. The owner offers personal service and you can see that their staff are hard working and always ready to please. My overall experience once again was fantastic and I would recommend Rivonia B & B to anyone looking at staying in Johannesburg.

Our stay at Rivonia B&B was a great experience from the moment we arrived from our overnight flight into Joburg to our departure 3 days later. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff were so helpful. The breakfasts were really good and the service always with a smile! The gardens are beautiful and filled with bird life - a very relaxing environment to unwind. Gerard and Jill were always on hand to assist if needed. We would certainly recommend Rivonia B&B to anyone visiting this part of Johannesburg.

We were in the area for some medical work, so my wife spent 2 days recovering in bed. The bed and room were comfortable and the area was quiet. Great breakfast and we were impressed by all the staff. Would absolutely stay there again.
