The location is great, possibility of parking in the garage is highly appreciated, the decor of the house and apartment is beautiful, especially the bathroom and AC much needed during the summer. The coffee and water in the kitchen was a nice touch.

I would recommend much better expectations management and communication/ info here at Booking. - the fact that living room + kitchen is separated from bedroom and bathroom by a hall with staircase with access to other guests should be mentioned up front, this set up is quite uncomfortable - the fact there are quite many stairs and no lift should be mentioned - the Booking page states pets are allowed with no costs, we were charged 20eur for our dog (I got info about it just the day prior to arrival, altough I asked like three months ago) - the Booking age states the accomodation accepts payment by card, we had to pay cash altough not warned up front and needed to meet the host the day after our arrival and had to carry 355eur around in cash-> the whole scene was quite awkward as check in was run by someone else who did not even introduce himself All this is much more the matter of communication than anything else. We can accept some changes, just would prefer them to be communicated transparently. All in all we enjoyed Mantova, but were quite tired from all the surprises, especially after the long drive we had prior to the check in.

The location was excellent- easy to walk to the majority of the sites we wanted to visit. Plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby. Quiet. Isabella and Matteo were very helpful and pleasant to deal with.

We were little nonplussed when we realised the hallway (between the bedroom and living area) was shared with guests who accessed their accommodation from a spiral staircase at the end of the hallway. We had assumed the staircase led to a roof area and had not accessed it. This may have been flagged - but we had not appreciated it. We were not disturbed by the other guests, who were there for only one of the nights we stayed, but it does have the potential to be disturbing.

Appartamento spazioso, camera grande, bagno con doppio lavandino, terrazzo direttamente sulla piazza San Domenico. Piccola ma funzionale cucina.

La posizione è strategica, tra Palazzo Te e Palazzo Ducale, pieno centro ma camera molto silenziosa. Gli arredi e le pareti sono nel classico stile mantovano e denotano un ottimo gusto (troverete i muri con la stessa tinteggiatura a Palazzo Te e in altre dimore nobiliari). Gli spazi sono grandi: normali nella stanza da letto, molto grandi nel bagno, signorili per la sala. Ambienti correttamente riscaldati, letto comodissssimo. Gentile l'accoglienza.

Non ho appunti da muovere né alla struttura né all'accoglienza.
