It was pleasant. Great location. Walking distance to everything. Hotel could use more seating areas to work. Other than that, really a great stay. Old grand hotel. Don't expect modern decor. Super friendly staff.

We loved the Knickerbocker, but… (I’ll get to that in a minute). Beautiful room (the small size didn’t bother us), amazing location (a block from the Hancock building), and a wonderful restaurant that served a lovely breakfast. The staff were gracious and everything was wonderful… until we checked out. We were handed an additional bill for the “hotel fee.” Of course that should have been included in the listed cost when we reserved the room, and should have been included in the price we paid through the third party (in this case Hotels.com). We have never had this happen before. But if they had been honest and upfront about the price of the room, it is possible we may have chosen to go somewhere else. It is a sleazy way to “win” customers. But the last laugh is on the Knickerbocker, because while we loved the hotel, we will NOT be repeat customers.

When we returned with the. coupons he still had an attitude. Valet and bellman were so polite. Everybody else in the restaurant were so nice. Cleaning ladies are doing a great job. The room was old, small, although we had an upgrade, very noisy and smelly. The carpets are moldy. The pillows are old with zero support. I couldn’t sleep at all for the whole stay. There is no business center, no valet parking. The lobby is small and sitting area is on a narrow balcony, above the lobby. Under no circumstances is this upscale. Any Inn is better than this. A lot of weedy smells and odd couple, with so casual dressed men and super glitzy ladies. To top it off, they charged us fraudulently. Off course will debate that; however, another nuisance. Will never, ever stay there again. The add is a completely false representation.

Very convenient location with good staff. The carpet in the room was old, perhaps soon to be replaced? (Note: No pool) Regardless, still 5-stars.

The rooms are fine at this property. However, be aware there are nickel and diming charges that add up. We had arrived very tired after flying all night to find there was a $40 early check-in even after I had called and requested it (no charge mentioned then). Also, there is a $23 “resort fee” to cover things like bottled water, use of the fitness center, etc. What?? Isn’t that part of running a hotel? Plus there was a $25 per day charge for incidentals (to be returned after check-out). What possible incidentals? No mini bar, no room service…what else could it be? Rooms are fine but be aware the cost is much higher that published rate. We won’t stay here again. It felt like a rip-off.

Great hotel in a great location. A bit noisy sometimes in the hallway. Overall great. Elevator does not require key card.

Bed was firmer that we like, but we made do. Everything was very nice.

Room never cleaned, etc. At arrival, TV not working. Took hours to bring towels/wash cloth. Coffee for machine not delivered. Only brightspot? Room cost was correct. Bellman waS EXCELLENT.

Hotel is in a good location! However rooms are very small and include minimal amenities for the price they are charging. Parking is $55 a day. Restaurant and Bar are very pricey.

The rooms are very clean, nicely decorated, and spacious. The staff were courteous and helpful. The rooms were quiet and well kept.

Great location but rude, untrained management and staff. Television and Wi-Fi service slow and outdated. Other hotels in the area are a better bet.
