Great location

Poor check in and check out; not friendly with sense of somwhow being inconvenienced having to help custimer. Building and rooms are older (which is ok IMO, and adds to character), but could use some renovation and attention to items in the room (i.e. toilet handle was loose and got stuck, wimdow shade half broken from retaining loops) House keeping didnt show up after a full 12hrs+ (7AM to 9PM) of having do not disturb hanger removed from the door. Location good, but plenty of other nearby places with similiar cost (i.e. Crown Plz, co worker stayed there for extra 15 a night over this place and well worth it - I even visited desk there to see if "inpolite front desk" was CLE thing or just IHG thing, and appears in the case its the later)

Room was not cleaned, although cleaning staff were on our floor that day. We had to ask the front-desk and at first, they were not helpful. Getting an elevator in mornings and/or on popular check out times is very difficult. Add at least an extra 15 minutes for an elevator. Rooms are spacious. A little old, but clean.

Room was a perfect size, only problem was that the door itself broke, but the staff got it fixed within about an hour.

Everyone was really nice, especially the women that work the breakfast area! The bathroom could have been cleaner…there was hair all over the floor and the shower wasn’t at clean as it should have been. But over all it was a nice stay

Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and enormous. Everything was very walkable, there were tons of restaurants and shopping in the area. We went to a football game and that was very walkable as well.

It was convenient to my client's location and is a nice place to stay.

We stayed here as it was convenient to all sights in Cleveland we wanted to see. The hotel was above and beyond expectations. Staff was GREAT! Rooms, areas were well kept. Beautiful hotel, lots of character!

The valet service is very poor, and the front Desk Representative Brady on the night shift is rude and argumentative.

Do not use valet parking. Understaffed and 1.5 hour wait to leave hotel. Front desk said “Nothing we can do”. No restroom access from lobby while waiting for our car, because we had checked out and no elevator access. no seating area.

We loved Monica at the breakfast bar!! She is the life of Holiday Inn Express Downtown Cleveland. She is so helpful and friendly. She makes connections with everyone and her services comes from the heart. We very much enjoyed our stay. The room was clean, we requested extra towels (for the in room jacuzzi) and they were sent up immediately. Wonderful views, central location in the city. Walking distance to Progressive Field, and Jake's Pizza for late night slices and ice cream :) But Monica was the real star of the show!! I would 100% recommend this location and hotel. The only thing I was not a fan of was the parking situation, it's valet only and costs $40 extra per day. But if you don't leave and come back it's not any extra hassle. Day 1 we went out exploring the area driving, but day 2- we walked so it was no extra time waiting.

Hotel was nice. Just little out dated. Floors need a better cleaning but everything else was good . Stuff was very nice. Loved the breakfast lady she was amazing making sure we didn’t ever need anything. Would go back again if we go to Cleveland!

The building is old, we get that. The room was not cleaned. we found a wet cleaning rag left under bed sheets. All the hallways and breakfast area was filthy. Never again

The hotel is in a perfect setting - downtown Cleveland. It has a lovely architectural frontage and entrance hall - beautiful period features. However, the room was tired and in need of renovation - not to make it modern and spruced up, but repairs to make it presentable. There were ceiling tiles at the entrance to the room that were sagging, and in places the ceiling looked like there was some damage from above. The tiles around the edge of the bathroom were damaged in places and needed to be grouted/fixed. Just looked shoddy. There was also a layer of dust on the arm of the lamp. The bed was comfy and the linens clean. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. This room looked like one brought out of retirement, and I’m sorry to write such a review, but I would not stay here again.
