Lovely property and great service!

Great staff and beautiful rooms

The newly launched redesign for this hotel has been impeccably executed. Every single space was beautiful. From reception, to the bar, to the rooms - tasteful details throughout. The location was also perfect - just a short 10 minute drive from downtown DC, located in a serene pocket of Alexandria. Looking forward to visiting this property again, as well as other aka locations in the States.

Beautiful property close to many shops and restaurants. Staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean and loved the design.

We had a 50th yr friendship celebration there . The staff was awesome Lynnea - event coordinator you rock ! Antoine - bellman took care of all of us 13 of us. I could go on and on it was the best ..

I recently had the pleasure of staying at one of the most eclectic and beautiful properties I’ve experienced. I opted for a 2-day staycation on a Thursday and Friday, and it was an excellent choice. The property itself was stunning, with a unique blend of design and decor that made every moment spent there feel special. The entire staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, which made my stay even more enjoyable. I appreciated the location of the property as well; there were numerous restaurants and areas within walking distance that were both safe and vibrant. Additionally, the on-site bar and cafe were very convenient, offering a great place to relax without needing to venture far. However, I did encounter one issue during my stay related to valet parking. While I appreciated the convenience and efficiency of the app they use for retrieving vehicles, I discovered a dent in the bottom of my car door upon returning home. Unfortunately, I did not notice the damage before leaving the property, which I regret, especially since I witnessed another guest expressing concerns to the valet staff about his truck the day before. Given this experience, I would recommend avoiding valet parking if possible to prevent potential damage to your vehicle. There are plenty of parking options available around the property that guests might consider instead. Despite this minor setback, I would absolutely stay at this property again.

So much thought was put into every inch of this hotel’s rooms and common spaces. We enjoyed the theater and bar nightly. The staff in departments were very welcoming. This may have been the cleanest and most cared for property I’ve ever stayed.

There’s too much to say really. Physically, this hotel is a beauty. The staff seems to genuinely care about its appearance. They are cleaning even the tiniest of areas that typically go unnoticed. The amenities were wonderful. Would rather not pay for parking, but considering the effort they make in showing true hospitality, it’s a minor issue. We were impressed enough that we stayed an extra night and have already checked out their other properties for future vacation planning.

The property is nice overall and staffs are very friendly. They didn’t upgrade our room and our room is probably the worst one, it’s just above the entrance and the window is facing the wall! The safe was locked and no instructions was given. There were stains on the bath towels. The design of the shower area is strange and wasted a lot of space.

I splurged on the premium suite with a balcony and it was immaculate. I loved my stay and everything was great even the warm staff Nigel and Kiva.

Love it great place

The ambiance is very elegant and upscale. The staff is very professional and friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the convenience amenities available, ie the coffee shop and workout room. Unfortunately the new lounge was just opening on the last night of our stay, so we didn’t get to visit there but it looks awesome. We’re definitely looking forward to returning and staying at other ALA properties in different locations.
