My go- to hotel in Shanghai- perfect location, 1 block from the famous Nanjing Rd, very upscale property, half block from metro line 2, direct to airport, luxurious rooms- everything is gold or bronze plated, but it works in a gaudy way. I’ve been coming here for years, and the room furniture and fixtures are showing wear. Otherwise, a great property. TIP: book a deluxe room, not much more but very large!

The staff at reception during checkin were so rude, so disinterested in the customer. Could not have made you feel

The location is great, just a 3-minute walk from the subway station or Nanjing East Road. The hotel is beautiful and my room was comfortable.
I really want to give this hotel 10 points, but the hotel charged me $8.44 for losing one of my room cards, which made me uncomfortable and unhappy.

Location is good BUT the GPS is not that good. The Didi car services and food delivery that I ordered often got routed to the hotel next door.

Rude employees. Room not cleaned over 5 day stay. Sheets not changed. Argued with guests. Better hotels right across the street. Crown Plaza, Radisson, etc. Used to stay here for business but NEVER AGAIN!! Looks good but it has gone down. Try other places. Don’t get fooled like I did.

My room was beautiful, and so is the lobby, and the location is central and excellent. Many staff spoke English. But the front desk was not very welcoming or helpful— they immediately started trying to upsell me, confused me about breakfast, and rushed me. The cost of breakfast is highway robbery for China. Compared to other hotels I stayed at, I didn’t think it was all that great. There are lots of food options nearby, good shopping, not too far from the Bund. Great for a quick stop in Shanghai at the end of my big trip around China.
