I booked this hotel, DoubleTree, Kamloops from Booking.com for CAD$216.11 for 2 nights (Tax included). When I checked in, the staff handed over a check-in agreement to me. On the agreement, the rate was CAD$270 for 2 nights (Tax included). I discovered the problem and rejected the agreement. I had to argue with the staff and showed her my booking on the cell phone. She blamed Booking.com for not informing them the price charge. Then she corrected the rate to be CAD$216.11 for 2 nights. On the day of check-out, their staff slipped a bill through our room door, a common Hilton practice. The bill charged us CAD$240.12 for 2 nights. I had to come down to the front desk to argue with them again. At the end, they changed the bill to be CAD$216.12. CAD$0.01 above my argeement with Booking.com I have filed a compliant to Booking.com. about the overcharging practice. At the end, the hotel refund me CAD$0.01. However, until today, I have not received any apology from this hotel. Is it the attitude of a hotel by Hilton that the hotel can charge whatever rate the hotel likes when the guests check-in or/and live in the hotel?

Incredibly friendly staff, quick but not rushed while we checked in. The warm cookie was absolutely delicious!

The heating control would not allow us to change temperature. We were told system was on sleep mode and could not be charged. They offered a fan but what good is that when room was too hot 22 c we ended up opening the window with out side temperature in the minus so mite as well been sleeping in a barn. Will not stay there again.

Carpets and Couches very dirty. Shower/ toilet area very tiny. Room was ok. We booked for 3 adults and breakfast is provided for 2 / room. Room was very humid , had to leave the windows open for fresh air n to cool down the rooms. Very disappointing for such a recognized name as HILTON..

I paid $330 for the night, and did not feel that the room was worth the money paid

The breakfast menu was torn paper … very tacky. Unprofessional for double tree or Hilton style. No fond of Indian food so rather disappointed
