It was clean, free of trash and no loiterers. Entrance was very well maintained and bright.
Did not like seeing the police as I arrived, he was there vacating someone. That it did not have a microwave in the room , that’s a game changer and that the heat wasn’t flowing properly.

The room was perfect. They were able to accommodate our need for a room on the first floor. Breakfast had numerous healthy choices. The staff were really friendly and felt like a real family. This was a wonderful experience and if we are ever in Springfield IL again - it will be the ONLY place we will stay.

Staff was very nice and accommodating. My room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Complimentary breakfast was included in my room fee. I also enjoyed the OnDemand television options.
Old stains on some furniture. The blow dryer in my room didn't work. I wish there were microwaves in our rooms.

I enjoyed the suite style of the room. I also enjoyed the discount at local restaurants and how friendly the staff were. We even spent a few minutes talking about the value of grad school.
The only thing I didn't like was related to IHOP being somewhat disorganized across the street, though I know this is not the fault of the Microtel staff.

The upgrade of the TV'S in the room that gave more of a variety to watch in the comfort of the room.

I asked for sheets and an extra blanket for my 11 year old granddaughter. The sheets on the bed had various stains as did the extra set the desk clerk gave me. When I spread the “clean blanket”out it appeared to have a coffee or urine stain in the middle of it. Why would they put STAINED SHEETS on the bed Aand on top of that give me stained linen

Clean room with comfy bed
Outdated decor, my bathroom flooded super bad from overflowing toilet. It was so bad that it started leaking downstairs into lobby area. I noticed in the bathroom ceiling, there was water damage stains and blue tape as if they were painting over it. The guy at desk told me that they always have issues with toilets overflowing. I thought that was a red flag or maybe a backup issue within their building.

Nice room. Clean. Day and afternoon staff first day were excellent. Nice work out room.
Man at desk in morning was extremely rude. Wouldn’t look up to speak with us. Husband said excuse me twice and he said I hear you and still not looking up from screen.

It was away from downtown, so easy to get in and out to do what we wanted.
Lobby nicely renovated, but room was a little older-looking and could have used some sprucing. Clean, but due for some renovations as well.

Room was not very clean found hair in the bed sheets dust in the corners.Elevator was noisy and shaking 2nd day was better maybe had it repaired.entrance smelled like dirty diapers.

Robyn was extremely friendly and helpful!!
Our room smelled bad and it got worse if you turned the air or the heat on.
The pool is absolutely tiny and FREEZING.
The spout for the bathtub was falling off.
The beds were very comfortable and there were 3 pillows on each bed which was nice.
