Hotel is very worn down and in need of extreme maintenance.

The Ripon Welcome Inn 45 years ago was THE place to stay in Ripon, now it is the place NOT to stay, tired, old, not well kept up, falling apart, no breakfast as advertised, nothing that would indicate a nice hotel stay.

Read above. Ownership needs to sink lots of money into it or sell it to someone who will. Surely a college town like Ripon can attract enough visitors to sustain a nice hotel not 2 blocks from the campus. Once upon a time, it was a very nice place.

The closeness to downtown. The parking was also great!

aging somewhat. the bathtub was slippery, but not a problem for us. No continental breakfast, but the price made it worthwhile.

Very friendly check in, comfortable bed and I love the 2nd sink outside of the bathroom.

Instead of replacing a broken lock there was an additional locking mechanism added which was a bit odd.

Centrally located and didn't cost much.

It was at the intersection of two state highways. Heavy traffic including trucks started up at 4:30 am. The lobby was so crowded with furniture I had to move some aside to get through with a rolling duffle.

The receptionist was always welcoming and the place is within walking distance of the college campus.

Interiors are in a rundown state and although the fridge and TV are adequate, all other items are quite outdated to justify the price.

It was affordable and located close to where I needed to be. The room wasn’t smoky smelling. The manager was nice. Hot water and the heater lights in the bathroom were good. The pillows were nice and fluffy. The internet worked.

It definitely needs cleaning and updates. The carpets and walls looked dirty with stains. The faucet in the bathroom was hard to turn off and on. The lobby smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. Only one lock on the door worked. The remote and microwave felt sticky. They had a liquid hand soap in the bathroom, which I like for the convenience vs bar soap but the dispenser looked dirty. The shower didn’t drain very quickly so you ended up standing in a couple inches of water. The bed was hard.
