Le site exceptionnel, calme, en pleine nature, aménagé avec bcp de goût et la cuisine savoureuse
La literie trop dure et l'absence de moustiquaire aux fenêtres qui ne permet pas d'aérer en grand la chambre. Dommage car cela permettrait de profiter des températures très clémentes et des bruits de la forêt la nuit.

Emplacement de rêve au milieu de la nature. Personnel très disponible. Très bon restaurant.
Accès par un chemin aventureux, unique et plein de beaux paysages.
Nous recommandons si vous cherchez à vous éloigner de la ville tout en y ayant accès.
Une chose est sûre, ce logement n’a rien de classique!

Beaucoup trop cher pour la qualité de la prestation. Obligation de dîner avant 8pm, souris et araignée dans la chambre ( y compris des crottes sur les lits à chaque retour en chambre). Des jeux vieux et incomplets.

Holger und seine Frau sind unfassbar Hilfsbereit und schaffen eine Atmosphäre in der man sich uneingeschränkt wohl und willkommen fühlt! Sehr zu empfehlen! Wir wären gerne länger geblieben! Das Hotel ist perfekt um die Natur von Laos zu erkunden. Wir empfehlen auch den Kochkurs Nham Dong Park zu machen. Authentischer geht es nicht :)

The place is remote and relaxing after some full days in Luang Prabang. Staff and owner are very friendly and the service is great.
the food and drinks are rather pricey and there are no other options to eat due to the remoteness.

The Hillside Nature lodge was a great choice to stay after a busy itinerary in town. We loved the outlook and beautiful views from our spacious bungalow. The bed and furniture were comfortable and the veranda was a lovely place to relax. The restaurant was excellent with views overlooking the gardens and pool to the mountains. The food was delicious with a varied menu and staff so attentive. We appreciated the inclusion of a good breakfast. There are various activities on offer and we enjoyed the trek, the massage and steam bath. The hosts are helpful, knowledgeable and charming. I highly recommend visiting the lodge if you are looking for a peaceful relaxing experience whilst in Luang Prabang.

We had the coziest stay at Hillside. Holger and his family are incredibly kind, welcoming and helpful. We felt thoroughly taken care of and the property itself was a dream (we especially loved the two ponies, Jason and Elwood). there’s plenty of trekking to do within walking distance from the property, and they have even pathed out a 360 view point trail that’s behind the property. Finally, the food was amazing and fresh. we would definitely come back here if given the chance.
would have liked to use the pool, but it was too cold (not really the fault of the resort, it was very cold weather when we visited).

The steam room and the food was very good. very cool that it was in a jungle.
There was a rat crawling through the restaurant at dinner on my last night and the next morning when I stepped outside the front door, there was a rat looking right at me, it really frightened me. ants all over the room too. I found the owner a bit cold to me and my partner at times too. seemed stressed with our orders even though we were the only ones in the restaurant. I did not understand the problem they had with us.

Beautiful secluded little bungalows in the middle of the forest - the rooms were large, had a lovely balcony and chair/day bed to stretch out and read books. There are plenty of places to explore nearby on foot, or you can sit back and enjoy the facilities on site. The food was the absolute standout - everything was so fresh and delicious! Staff are all so kind and helpful and happy to chat. It was a lovely few days to start our holiday.

The surroundings are really nice. The personnel is really friendly and helpful. The food is fresh and delicious and at a reasonable price.. Really quiet and relaxing place but also children friendly. The steam bath and the massages are also worth it.
The shower is weak and it is really hard to get some hot water.

What a great stay, absolutely fantastic get away in Laos and a perfect spot to disconnect and relax. Maddie and her team went above and beyond to make our stay incredible. The ladies in the kitchen cook outstanding local and western food all day round, the location is far from Luang Prabang city but the resort offer twice a day transport if you want to hit the town. The little chalets offer all comforts one can wish for in the jungle, the resort and its rooms are clean and eco-friendly! If you are into nature, environmental/local friendly accommodations, this is the place for you.
Nothing what so ever! Just be aware when you book this amazing place how far out it is and difficult to get an transport back other than the transport offered by the resort. Can't thank Maddie enough for her outstanding hospitality and ever lasting smile and patience.

Peaceful, quiet location half an hour's drive outside of Luang Prabang. Some nice walks to do in the general area and opportunities to walk through some small villages.
Maddy, the Manager, was very helpful and kind to us and we really enjoyed chatting to her. She's a real people person and she's doing a great job of running the resort.
The food in the restaurant was excellent (especially the Green Curry which is one of the best I've ever had!). The portion sizes are huge so you get your money's worth!
Breakfast is a casual affair - no set times so you can have it whenever you want if you're not an early riser.
The water pressure in the showers wasn't great and the water kept changing from hot to cold whilst using the shower.
The pillows on the bed were a bit too hard for our liking and gave us sore necks!

Everything was amazing! The staff went above and beyond to help every single guest. The Manager would arrange taxis for me. The food was really great with a wide selection to choose from and I thought the prices were reasonable. The room was comfortable, you can hear your neighbours luckily mine were quiet and I had headphones, I really liked the eco shower system that the water ia heated by the sun through out the day. It was lovely to relax around the pool watching the beautiful scenery whilst the two ponies roamed around.
Too many young children at the resort.
