everything about this hotel was amazing. Really great wood design to the rooms. My favorite was the balcony which overlooks the Mekong. There is a street out front but it is not noisy or loud at all. This hotel is closer to the tip where there is less hubbub. Everyone who worked at the front desk was excellent. I really loved that They had a water cooler so you could fill your own bottles. Some hotels don’t have this and give you a new plastic water bottles every day, the plastic situation is obviously getting out of control everywhere. So I really appreciate That they had a water cooler. even tho it’s was quite expensive(for Laos) an Italian restaurant about a block away called Popolo was the best pasta carbonara I’ve ever had in my life. And it was in Laos . Which is crazy. Also, a noodle place a block away inland was super delicious. breakfast was quite ok, and the view is amazing.

I wish they had brewed coffee instead of just instant. But instant is kind of normal around there.

The most beautiful hotel in front of the river. You don’t need anymore in Luang Prabang. Walking distance to the night market and temples. Breakfast was delicious and the service was so amazing. Guy from the reception was always smiling and helping us with everything (tours, taxis, recommendations, laundry, etc)

Oozing of old charm, with good modern bathroom. Great views of the river. But the best aspect is Kit the manager. Goes out of his way to help you, and as a bonus he has a good command of English.

Maybe don’t use the hotel to arrange scooter rental, I had to return mine after 20 minutes as was too dangerous to ride. Not a direct reflection of the quality of the hotel though

This place looks better than on the photos. Please consider that it is very good suited in the amount of money it costs. No magic here. For given money: - location was perfect - walk distance to the old city center. - room that not facing the street - quiet. Keep in mind that doors are not sound proof. (which was expected) - stuff - very helpful and not trying to do any up-selling. - room had working ac and in general was very tidy and pleasant.

Well, nothing I could blame here for the price given - every thing was very good. Note to owner that I don't know if need to be resolved: - stuff didn't have key for the room. So for cleaning we should leave the key, or needed to be present in the room. It was fine with me, but little bit awkward for my SO.

Amazing city amazing house. I'm speechless to Luang Prabang and I'm so happy I chose MCR to stay during my last visit. Great value for the money I can only say so ❤️

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The location is right by the Mekong and close to restaurants and attractions. The breakfast was good and made to order. The accommodations were an excellent value.

We like the decor here, friendly wood. Beautiful wooden floor. The best breakfast is with fruit because I like to eat vegetables and fresh food. Staff try their best to make guests happy & satisfied.

In the afternoon, there was a lot of noise, the drilling machine chiseled without warning. It is best to notify guests in advance to let them out. I'm quite allergic to noise so it's quite a headache. Pillows provide a little bit (2 pieces), while I think at least 3-4 pieces are needed. In short, just a suggestion, the rest is fine. I still come back for a long vacation in Luangprabang because I really like this peaceful place!

Cool and comfortable room on the ground floor - perfect to stay out of the heat. Lovely view with breakfast on the front terrace overlooking the river. Staff are very helpful and friendly, eating options close by with the night market a 10 minute walk. Lovely quiet location.

The receptionist Kict (I think that I spelled correctly. It's his nickname, meaning small or skinny in. Lao language 😉) was extremely kind and helpful. I also had some interesting conversations with him. The accommodation itself is perfect as well. Great location, good facilities and attractive architecture. Thank you so much 🙏

Rooms were great - spacious, clean, 2 beds. Beds were sufficiently comfortable - not great, but adequate. Could have been more pillows (I like to use 2). Shower was good - lots of hot water and good water pressure. Great that there's a water cooler in the reception area so we could fill up our own bottles and not have to use plastic. Kettle in room, along with some mugs. Fridge that only kept cool when we were in room (needed card key in slot).

There were 5 options for breakfast - 3 egg options (my son doesn't eat eggs), pancakes, and rice porridge. Would have liked more variety, and some healthy options (granola, fruit, yogourt, bagels/healthy bread, cereals). Only instant coffee (good thing I brought my own pour-over!). Would be good to have glass bottles in rooms for water, which can be refilled downstairs. Safe didn't open with our stuff in it, which was a huge annoyance and time waste, but to be fair, not really the hotel's fault. Very difficult to get taxis/tuk-tuks, so recommend the hotel have a contact/arrangement with a few local tuk-tuk drivers and taxis. But these are minor - overall a pleasant stay and no real concerns.

Location was good. Mr Kit and all the staff were friendly and helpful that makes our stay wonderful. Coming back to stay again!

Rooms were spacious, comfy beds, nice modern shower.

Had to ask for enough towels, 2 of 3 nights front desk unattended so guests arriving in evening had no help checking in (NO ONE on premises, so all guest info on computer was available for anyone to see at empty front desk) our first night someone calling out "hello hello" for hours trying to check in.

Quiet location, comfortable beds, friendly, English speaking staff. 10 minutes walk to the town centre. Great value

Smoking allowed in rooms, we got a smell of smoke every morning from a neighbouring bedroom, horrible! Breakfast a little limited.

Great location, helpful staff; Tom was very helpful in changing our booking when Thai Smiles cancelled our flight.

Big wonderful room on the front overlooking the river with it's own little terrace and table outside. Not sure about the other rooms.

It would have been nice to have proper coffee served with breakfast.
