A beautiful place to rest, kick back and relax. The apartment looks exactly like on the pictures. We had a great time. Property was nice. The beachfront is beautiful. The front desk was helpful. Maydelin’s was responsive and answered questions quickly and promptly.

The property was exactly as described. I had a little confusion with TV operation which can probably be attributed to operator error. Still the host replied promptly to my request for assistance and even called me to walk me through the process. Later in the conversation in I became aware that he was actually away on vacation in Spain which is 6 hours later and he still called me to make sure I was able to operate the TVs correctly. I highly recommend this unit and this host.

We enjoyed our stay. Very clean. Beds extremely nice. All furnishings were modern and new, kitchen well supplied. Only issue would be housekeeping providing enough towels and toiletries. Host quick to respond to requests. Thank you.

The property was exactly as described & suited our needs perfectly. This is part hotel, part condos, so you get the best of both worlds-friendly and helpful desk/security personnel 24/7, beautiful amenities, a beautiful apartment with a great view, & an INCREDIBLY responsive host! The pools & hot tub were great, not crowded while we were there, & lots of available chairs (they ran out of towels once late morning but had more in about an hour-maybe grab some early if you can). Not a lot of shade to sit in, so come with a cover-up if you might need it. Cross a pedestrian path to the beach, so close, & easy to move between beach and pools. If you want chairs on the beach bring the ones from the room (or pay $15 to rent). We found the snack bar a little pricey but it seemed everything is in Miami Beach, and their fries were excellent LOL. You can't walk to the supermarket or many restaurants, but we knew that going in so it was as expected. The free trolley (and a bus stop) is outside the building, very convenient, although there was one time we waited almost an hour & none showed up so we took Lyft (cheaper than Uber the entire trip). The apartment was super clean & fresh, well stocked with all that was needed (except that housekeeping was a little stingy with the toilet paper - 1 extra per bathroom & they were small rolls-a text to Maydelin quickly got us 2 more, but I picked up a couple extra at the store because I didn't want to bother her again). Would very much recommend!

This unit is beautiful comfortable and well equipped. We loved the balcony. The Hotel is great - amenities, location, views, and the staff was all terrific. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat!

We just returned from a long girls weekend in Miami and we stayed in this unit on the north end of Miami Beach. The unit was as described. It was very clean and comfortable. Here is a pro/con breakdown.....
Pros
very clean, good pools and bar service with food/drinks next to the pool was awesome, bar service also available on the beach which was even more awesome, location was just what we wanted, a little quieter than South Beach, more family friendly, perfect beach area, pool/beach towel service was nice, staff at The Alexander were very nice,
Cons
While we liked the location for the quietness - we were not close any restaurants - nothing in walking distance,
they did not patrol the "adults" only pool, there were always kids in it, we were on an adult weekend and would have preferred the kids be in the kid friendly area, they do have one restaurant onsite - but not only was it very expensive - it had very "different" food - which is fine, but not the kind of food your regular mid western gal eats, and my last con was the amount of "starter" supplies that were in the condo. When we arrived there was not ONE roll of toilet paper in the condo - not one. After a long day of travel you need to use the restroom. So I would suggest stopping and buying your items on the way to the condo and not later.
But overall, it was a nice weekend and we enjoyed our stay.

Our stay at the Alexander was outstanding. the apartment was exactly what we were looking for, clean and many amenities. The washer and dryer was a PLUS!! The pool area was excellent (2 pools-adult and family pools). The staff at the Alexander were very helpful and always making sure you had all you needed. Easy beach access too. The host was excellent as well. Nothing is ever perfect so when we needed assistance she answered the call immediately and helped us out. I highly recommend staying HERE!

This was the best trip I have had, and I am over 50 years old. My first trip to Miami and I was able to stay on a property that was so beautiful, spacious, really exactly as advertise. The owner was wonderful one of a kind and quick at responding. All the furniture and appliances were top of the line. I absolutely loved my stay and which I could have stayed longer. I will definitely rebook when I am back in Miami. If you are trying to decide, book you will not be disappointed.

The property was spacious and clean! We loved the location. North Beach is a bit quieter. The pools were lovely and we enjoyed direct access to the beach. The only snafu we had was we were not informed that there was an extra nightly fee for parking and a daily fee to use the beach. Other than that our stay was pretty perfect!

The Owners were extremely responsive. This was my first time using VRBO so I had lots of questions. I texted the owner many times with questions and she responded very promptly and was very helpful. We requested more blankets and the owner drove an hour just to drop off a couple of blankets. Excellent customer service. The location of the property is right on the beach!!! The property is exactly as it looks in photos. Very nice!!!

Great long weekend stay. Condo was very clean and exactly like the pictures. The balcony was excellent to sit and relax on. There were originally 6 of us going but ended up only being 4 women which was the perfect number. 6 adults is doable but there weren’t enough towels or toilet paper. The overall hotel property is nice, elevator stopped working on Sat afternoon but was fixed within a couple hours. The pool and beach were fabulous, plenty of chairs.

Nice property in a great location. Generally clean, but Regrouting the shower in the larger bathroom is a must and a nonstick pan would be nice too.
The recommendation for Publix instacart was great! There is a citibike location right accross the street and once you get the app it is very easy to use and make sure you go for a ride on the Boardwalk.
There is not much to walk to as far as food which makes the location and beach very quiet compared to other parts of Miami Beach. The staff at the Alexander were great and check in and check out was simple.

The unit is clean, convenient and comfortable. The hotel Alexander has nice amenities (when open), the front desk staff could work on friendliness. The units patio furniture is a must as not all units have this, beach chairs (maybe add 2 more) were essential, comfortable beds and good space for 4 adults at a gorgeous beach. Owners are available at all times and very friendly! Good balance between fun and comfort, would return.

Quick access from room to the pristine beach. Quiet area and perfect for families. The condo is exactly as described. The view from the balcony was breathtaking. The valet parking is worth the price. No waiting. Only a couple of issues….. the dishwasher was broken, and the pipes make a high pitched sound when the shower is being used. Also both showers only have the “rainfall” shower head, so it makes it very difficult if you don’t want to get your hair wet. Adding a hand-held would be helpful. With as nice as the condo is, management should make a better effort to stock better quality toilet paper and paper towels.

Miami vacation
Place was nice and the beach was awesome but one pool was closed. There are some restaurants you can walk to in nearby hotels but there’s not a lot within walking distance. There is a free trolley but it fills up fast. The nice thing is south beach is only 3 miles away. Could have had more toilet paper, paper towels and coffee filters. But overall it was a good place to stay.

No Luxury
Inadequate number of elevators, no restaurant, no cleaning service, not well maintained, no convenient walk to restaurants or shops, charged for each room key, insufficient towels (same bath towel for 4 nights), no pillowcases, rude front desk when request made, broken dining chairs, refrigerator change filter light on, dishwasher handle broken off, no tv instructions, broken window blind, no paper towels, BOTTOM LINE - NO LUXURY

Terrible Building Management
The unit we rented was top notch but the building management and rules were not friendly at all. We were not allowed to bring food and drinks to or thru the pool area on our way to the beach. They wanted you to buy their overpriced consumables from their service. Example: regular size ice cream sandwich $9. They made us take our cooler for the beach around the building as they did not allow it any where near the pool area. Unless you want to buy food and drink strictly from the building I would stay clear renting from here.

Fantastic stay
We stayed here last week and it was great. The apartment is clean and beautifully decorated. While we did experience a few issues, the property owner is extremely responsive and willing to help wherever she can. She was great to deal with. I will say that prior to leaving for our vacation I was a little nervous about The Alexander given the reviews on google. The reviews for the VRBO were great but the hotel reviews on google were not. I will say that from the moment we checked in and throughout our stay, I was very impressed. The staff treated us fantastically and we never had any issues. And yes, while the hotel is undergoing some renovations, they did not bother us at all. You do have to have some patience because the elevators are slow but I had family staying at other hotels on the beach who were experiencing the same thing. It's just because the hotels are busy right now. But I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this place. Thank you Maydelin for a great stay!

The hotel treats VRBO guests terrible compared to their own renters.
The owner of the condo was great. The hotel is terrible. Elevators don’t work, too much construction, dirty, unit not equipped with necessities, ie bedding , towels, trash bags, etc. The unit itself had dead batteries in the remote, broken chairs, dirty door frames with workers fingerprints, lightbulbs out, broken chair in living room, soap dispensers not filled and much more. I will be contacting the property owner with suggestions before new renters check in. The hotel itself treats VRBO guests like they have the plague. Valley parking was a great service and all vallets were extremely nice. Towel guy for pool was never at his station. Elevators were not working on check out day. Air conditioner was out for a day. I would never recommend the Alexander All Suited on Miami Beach.

It was a great few days. We stayed there 3days and we enjoyed. It was clean and comfortable.

We had a wonderful time.
There were a few hiccups in the beginning, but were fixed. Other than the early morning construction outside my room, we had a great stay. The place was as described and the owners were responsive. The location was great for what we wanted to do as well as great beach access.
