THIS GORGEOUS BEACH DUPLEX IS PET-FRIENDLY - AND IN BEAUTIFUL SHAPE.
Imagine shrimp on the grill, kids on the beach, and a cold beverage in your hand as you sit on the deck above the dunes. The wide beach invites you to stay all day long.
Amazing Grace is BEACH FRONT. It is not a piano lot, or a view lot between two houses, or in a condominium complex. It is a real OCEAN FRONT house. Sit on the beach or sit on a marvelous deck just above the dune..
Do you like to bike or run? There is a bike shoulder on the main road the entire way from the north to south. The island is 26 miles long, so you can get a good work out.
You can even bike for fun (like I do). Recently I rode my bike to the south end, and the smell of Jasmin and ocean air was unbelievable. I stopped on the far south point of the island and walked around the beach on the undeveloped point. I then rode back to Topsail Beach city hall and said hi to the ladies who worked there. (They had kindly sent me an invitation to pay real estate tax in their city even though my house is not in their city. I graciously declined :-) but they were very pleasant!) I then rode back to Surf City and promptly bought an ice cream cone at DQ just to make sure I hadn't burnt off too many calories, then leisurely rode back to the beach house.
Believe me, this place is fun.
And I haven't even told you about Shuckin' Shak, on the mainland side and it's fresh lightly fried grouper fingers, or about Sears Landing and its award winning clam chowder made with sherry, or Daddy Mac's - a 2nd floor restaurant overlooking the beach. Oh, and how about the fresh fish market (I mean right off the boat) behind the Crab Pot where you can get shrimp, flounder, shark or whatever they have been catching and take it back and grill it.
Or you can play 18 holes at Coastal Carolina's only four-star golf course, North Shore Golf and Ocean Club (as per Golf Digest). Perhaps you would like to deep sea or surf fish...or just lie on the beach. And did we mention riding jet skis on the nearby sound?

"We stayed in Amazing Grace for a week with our daughter's family - Our close friends stayed in the duplex beside us with their son's family (same owner) - So our children and grandchildren spent a week becoming closer friends. This is the 2nd time we have taken a family vacation at the beach and Amazing Grace was the perfect place to stay. It was nicer than the description online and the way it is laid out is wonderful for a family trip. We actually cooked a pig underneath the carport and invited friends and family down for the day on Wednesday. The view was awesome! I took many pictures of beautiful sun rises, sun sets, rainbows, dolphins swimming by and my grandchildren enjoying the beach! The house was in awesome shape and everything in it worked as it should. The owner was awesome - answered all our questions and made us feel like our trip and the enjoyment of it was a priority of his. I recommend Amazing Grace to anyone who enjoys a week at the beach and I hope to stay again every summer."

The kitchen is well stocked with appliances/utensils and it was great to have a washer/dryer for all of the sandy towels!! The owner is very responsive and easy to communicate with . . . hopefully this will become an annual vacation for our family!"

House was rated as exceptional which in my opinion is not accurate. Cleanliness was definitely questionable. Some examples: pet hair visible on stairs and on master bed skirt, the stairs had not been vacuumed as several wads of pet hair were removed, sliding door windows facing the beach were not cleaned and were completely covered over with salt and grime. We cleaned ourselves and they stayed pretty clear most of the week, not a chance they were touched before our arrival. Table tops were also pretty dusty. Shower curtain rings in both baths were rusty and the rust has stained the shower curtains. Overall the house needs some attention…walls are scarred, marked up, and just dirty. One of the sliding glass doors didn’t have a working lock and towel rods were loose and coming off the walls. While we did find them dead in the house we did notice some bug activity as well. Owner was attentive and communicative in assisting with an AC issue but sent a text to let us know a maintenance person was coming. We were on the beach, did not have our phone, and did not acknowledge or see the text. The maintenance man ended up on our back porch unannounced to us and made for a very uncomfortable situation.
To end with some positives the location is great, view is awesome, porch is great and we had a fine week. However, to list this house as exceptional is false advertising. It needs some work and attention.

Amazing Grace is a great place to stay! Wonderful views! Just steps from the beach & beautiful surf. We had everything we needed. The kitchen was well equipped. The whole place is especially clean and bug free. Plenty of towels & other linens, and the most comfortable beds. Would love to come back! Great communication with Steve, the owner.

Amazing Grace is a wonderful place to stay. The owner/property manager is so very attentive. When we had problems with the air conditioning unit he responded immediately to my concerns and the problem was quickly resolved. The beach is stunning and it was difficult to leave when our stay was completed.

This was the absolutely best place to stay if you like the beach. We could just walk out the back door and we were on the beach. I could hear the ocean at night ,which was very relaxing. We will definitely return. Thanks, Deleen and Tommy

Wow!! Such a beautiful home and location. Everything in the property description was perfectly accurate. The owners were more than gracious and responded so quickly to my questions. Steve Morrison the owner even texted me some of his favorite restaurants in the area and we enjoyed delicious fresh seafood with waterfront dining for dinner and fantastic bagels for breakfast one morning. I highly recommend Amazing Grace as the perfect vacation spot and any additional properties that Steve and his wife own.

The view was amazing. The rest was so so. Really needs some attention. The beds were awful. Most of dining chairs were broken. The living room furniture was dirty and worn, very uncomfortable. Lots of marks on walls. Can't use stove, its electric coil stove and the drip pans were replaced with ones that are too big so the heating unit doesnt sit flat. Didnt find that out until almost end of week. No screens.
We had a problem during stay and owner was very quick to respond. No complaints there. The tv remotes, batterries dead and they were so dirty i wanted to use gloves. Super frustrating to get any 1 of them to work.
Had i paid the in season rate, I would have been very upset. As it was, we overpaid, but the view is amazing.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Amazing Grace! It was wonderful to be that close to the beach and we spent the majority of our time on the deck reading and watching the ocean. Our dog goes with us everywhere we go and we were able to eat at a different pet friendly restaurant every night. This was our first time in Topsail and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

We had such a wonderful time. The location was perfect for a relaxing family time vacation. It was the first time our daughter-in-law and grandchildren had been to the ocean. They absolutely loved Topsail Island and being able to walk down the stairs from the deck and right on to the beach was so convenient. We had plenty of room for everyone with all of the comforts of home. It was perfect.

We had such a wonderful time. The location was perfect for a relaxing family time vacation. It was the first time our daughter-in-law and grandchildren had been to the ocean. They absolutely loved Topsail Island and being able to walk down the stairs from the deck and right on to the beach was so convenient. We had plenty of room for everyone with all of the comforts of home. It was perfect.

Mgr. very responsive to request to have someone come and clean grill left in disgusting shape with food caked foil left on grill and no attempt to clean. {Previous BBQers just inconsiderate and not reflection on Mgr's responsibilities but was rectified within an hour. } Would book again when returning to N. Topsail Beach. Great stay.
Also well locked gating on deck so our dog was secure outside and gave he gave it a two paw's up!

Beautiful home and beach. I was under the understanding that check in was at 4:00pm but unable to get in until 5:30'ish due to housekeeping issues. I would suggest that you also let folks know that the basic things one would expect in a rental were not there or very limited (i.e. dish soap, bar soap, garbage bags). However, these things were minor in relation to the quality/cleanliness of the home, the space and of course the proximity to the beach.

My husband and I, and our son and his wife needed a break from snowy NWPA. This was the perfect spot! The house is right on the beach! We were very comfortable in the house and enjoyed our visit very much. We highly recommend this beach house and we hope to stay here again during our next visit to Topsail.

My husband and I decided to take a last minute getaway with our pups and brought along my mom. The location was amazing! My husband had never stayed right on the beach before so that was top priority, plus a king bed (check and check!) and my mom had never taken an overnight beach vacation! The home was clean and ready for us. The weather was perfect after the first day and not many tourists yet in early March. Steve provided several food and drink spots beforehand. We took advantage of a two: the daily grind and topsail Steamer, which was so good! Make sure you visit Coastal Wings & Spirits while you're in town...seriously the best wings!

We had a great time!! It was peaceful, not a lot of people on the beach and view was great!!! I would stay here again for sure. The only down side I would say is not enough seating. On the porches or inside the house. Originally we were going to have 6 people and only ended up with 3. If all 6 came the bedroom situation would have been fine, but the living space would have been tight. There was a couch and loveseat in the living room so not everyone would have been able to sit and lounge around the tv. There were only 5 dining chairs so the meal time would have been awkward as well. I also thought it strange that two of the 4 beds were made so we had to make the others. Overall though we were pleased.

After a difficult year, decided to break from traditions and spend Christmas at my happy place (Topsail) with hopes of ending on a high note. Amazing Grace did not disappoint! The home is clean, well stocked, great layout and the views are spectacular. Have stayed at several different homes over the years but this was by far my favorite! Thank you for helping us make wonderful memories and hopefully a new tradition for the years to come!!

This was our first trip to Topsail beach, and it was an amazing trip! We visited in October and we couldn't believe how clean and quiet the beach was. It was not overcrowded at all. I woke up for sunrise every morning and it was absolutely gorgeous. The master bedroom upstairs gets so much natural light and if you leave the blinds open, you will be woken up to a gorgeous sunrise! The top and bottom decks were great for relaxing on, and it was so convenient to just walk steps to the beach! The house was clean and nicely decorated! It is a shared duplex, however we didn't hear the people next to us at all the whole trip. We did forget a beach umbrella, but we were able to pick one up at a store close by. If we came back, we would definitely stay here again. It is close to nice restaurants/stores as well!

We loved our time at Amazing Grace - I'm now completely spoiled by being right on the beach. We were treated to amazing sunrises each day from the deck. The house had everything we needed for a week-long stay. We tend to cook most meals and had all the pans, dishes, and cooking utensils we needed. I like that this is located just off the main road so it's easier to get in and out. Also loved going across the street to the sound side part of the neighborhood and walking out the boardwalk to a dock in the marsh. I would highly recommend this house and plan to return!
