Very enjoyable & The Red Fox which is a fabulous pub ( Pub of the year 2024 ) is only 5 mins walk

The Hotel was clean and kept the character of its original buildings and the luxury of the Spa enhanced the stay.

First stop of several as I travelled to Scotland and back visiting family.

The welcoming I received at the reception desk and the room, I did not use any other facilities.

There was nothing to dislike.

Great location with wonderful staff

Staff friendly, great location, drinks vouchers are a nice touch.

No air con in bedroom, noisy bedroom- could hear the tv or chatting in another room until 3 in the morning, pillows not comfy , duvet very warm, fridge noisy.

Not Bad but with a little work could be amazing

the grounds and setting was lovely. Staff were friendly and helpful. outside and house were presented nicely. liked the tv in the bath

The spa needs some work it’s dated in the pool area and wasn’t massively clean. Bits of the jacuzzi were falling off and outdoor sauna closed

The food was really good. Staff were friendly. Spa area was clean with good facilities Comfortable, clean and spacious room

The decor in our room was due a renewal. Some marks on the paint, scratches on the wallpaper. Just made the room feel a little tired.

The size of the room was good

1.There was not enough light in the room to get dressed. 2. There was no hand shower in the bathroom 3. No facilities could be used during the stay due to some fine print whilst booking 4, Staff did not try to resolve and fix the situation

Unbelievable when having Easter lunch in the Bar when I asked for the Bill the staff member told me there was 12% costing on top off our meal and drinks , excellent staff and don’t understand the greed

Best hotel

Another absolutely fantastic stay, as this is my second time staying here. We got given the bridal suite and love the beds whenever we stay. The food is the best, expensive but get what you pay for and recommend when booking you book bed breakfast and dinner, as you get a £49 dinner allowance each person

Lovely but jumping on the band wagon of charging for pool access

Rooms are lovely and the location is great for a getaway from the hustle and bustle

I have stayed here many times before and as with many places post-covid, there is now a £20 charge per person for using the pool/jacuzzi areas on a room only tariff. The price of the rooms have already increased by this amount so I am now looking at an extra £60 per stay. The jacuzzis outside are often full of the same people for an hour+ so this extra charge might mean they have to be stricter on moving people along as you could spend your extra cash and never have the chance to experience one of the nicest parts.

we had a superior double over looking front car park it was clean, quiet, the bed was super comfortable food in terrace was nice very impressed with the layout of the main house never went to the spa

the room felt over crowded with the chair to the table making hard to walk round the bed maybe a smaller design of chair (rather than an armchair) also booked room only and were not allowed access to the spa it’s only included for B&B - this was not clear in the website or booking.Com also food very limited for veggies in the main restaurant - I wanted to go a La carte but only mushroom risotto for my husband and though we asked there was no offer of alternative but heard table next to us discussing a beetroot wellington ??! all in all a nice place but at over £100 for room only I needed the room and food to step up a gear

Greta facilities in the spa and friendly staff at spa, hotel and restaurants

Could have had more attention to outside area - waited along time to use the outdoor hot tubs as larger groups i for 1 hour plus and therefore no space
