Ideal location for seeing the sites on the peninsula. Very friendly staff.

Breakfast was lovely. Dinner was ok.

Our room was never freshened. The dinner menu was mediocre at best.

Lovely place to stay, friendly staff who clearly care, but wasn't prepared for shared bathrooms.

The staff was very friendly and communicative, parking was easy, and the breakfast was delicious. We had a really nice stay!

We must not have read the hotel description closely, but we didn't realize it was a shared bathroom. It was a very clean bathroom with a nice shower and great water pressure, but of course, sharing a bathroom with 4 other rooms was something we weren't expecting.

Lovely place to stay in front of the beautiful mountains!

We are group of family (6 people) and booked 3 twin rooms with shared bathroom. We normally do not comfortable with shared bathrooms but cannot manage to get the private bathrooms. However, one side of the building contain only 2 rooms with shared bathroom so 4 of us did not have to share with others. The room is really nice and tidy. There is a big window with beautiful view. The breakfast is nice and the restaurant is located nearby the room. The place is private and we love it.

2 of us had to share bathroom with other room. There is 1 bathroom per 2 rooms (4 person) which may a bit busy in the rush hour and a bit difficult to communicate with other guests. (Luckily, we can manage to do it.)

Avoid booking here. Flies everywhere! Unhygienic.

As soon as we entered there were dead and alive flies all over the inside. Even more in the bathroom. Very unsanitary and disgusting. The receptionist offered nothing to help. We left after 10 minutes. The owner denies all this and refused to give us a refund. There were unoccupied rooms so the booking would not have been lost on them. Do not stay here unless you want a mouthful of bugs while you sleep!

Wonderful location to explore the snaefellsness peninsula. We were there 2 nights and had great access to all of the beautiful things. European breakfast available at 730 which was great to get an early start on the day.

The rooms were a little on the warm side (travelling in July). This is not the fault of the property but a good idea to bring a pair of PJs that are better for warmer weather.

Loved Kast Guesthouse!

We loved Kast Guesthouse! The location was very easy to get to, right off the highway. Our room was very clean and the owner and staff were so friendly. They have a restaurant onsite where you can have dinner if you like, and breakfast the next morning that was really good. Lots of things to do and see in the area. We highly recommend and would stay there again!

the beds were comfortable and the location great

The dinner was extremely overpriced for what was served. must be arranged in advance so they can defrost the entre. In -10°C our dinner included ice cold rice, for 40€ a person with only 1 beer. Breakfast included very limited options, nothing warm. The staff wasn’t very knowledgeable about the northern lights. Insisting they were visible through clouds which obviously is not the case, luckily we drove south a bit and saw them.

Nice location. super friendly staff. Food was tasteful. Choose from three meal options which change daily.

Room was for disabled people. therefor there was an extra thing at the end of the tap in the bathroom and almost impossible to use the sink which was very small.

Great owner, great room, great food, great price!

EVERYTHING! The owner was very friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. We ate dinner at the hotel and it tasted great and cost about $50 for both of us (2 entrees - fish,salad, potatoes and schnitzel, salad, and mashed potatoes - and 1 piece of chocolate cake). We also had a WONDERFUL breakfast that was included in the price. The room was also very nicely sized with a great view. It is pretty far out to get to, but worth it!

I truly don’t have a single complaint about this property.

We were only there for a short time but the room and facilities were comfortable and lovely location. The staff were extremely accomodating to us and went out of their way to ensure we were able to have breakfast even though we had to leave early. it was truly appreciated.

Very comfortable guesthouse, restaurant and bar in wonderful nature setting

Nature setting. Very nice room with comfortable beds, very quiet, nice view! Onsite restaurant and bar. Nice breakfast. Wooden deck with chairs and tables to watch sunset... Close to seal colony in Ytri Tunga, Lysuholslaug bath, Lysuholl Horse riding stable (don`t miss a ride on their horses on the beach). Great staff,talk to the geologist!

All great + window view

Great clean & spacious room, nice view from the window. Good breakfast. Friendly staff. Saw some sheep strolling around from the window :D

It would have nice to add soap/shampoo to shower. There is only antibacterial soap for hands in the bathroom.
