Geweldig

Kamers waren zeer ruim, heerlijke douche, super schoon!! Personeel was top, zulke lieve mensen. Maken een heerlijk ontbijt en ook lunch en avondeten was top. Dus een dikke pluim hiervoor.

Net al anderen is het oversteken van de drukke straat wel een dingetje. Zeker in het donker. Ook al heb je groen er zijn altijd scooters die toch doorrijden. We hebben dit wel onderschat want had het al gelezen. Maar dit is dan ook het enige.

Amazing Stay!

Staff were so lovely and always made sure everything was okay for us. The breakfast was amazing and it had such a 'homely' taste. The rooms were beautiful and clean with all the amenities we needed.

방이 너무 깨끗하고 넓고 조식도 맛있고 수영장도 깊고 직원들이 모두 친절하고 부지런하십니다 조금 떨어진곳에 있지만 그랩 고젝 다 엄청 잘 와요^^ 다음에 또 발리가면 꼭 방문할거에요!! 벌써 그리운 폰독아유에요~~

Very well maintained and nice ambience.. Feel like at home. I would prefer to have ceiling fan in the villa 😊

Look and feel as well as the layout with a little kitchen and walk in wardrobe cabinet.

Kamer is super, groot, prima AC. Grote badkamer ligbad met douche met een heel goede waterdruk.

Beetje afgelegen maar ik vind dat niet erg omdat ik altijd een Motorbike huur.

Preis-Leistung Top!

Die Unterkunft ist in 10-15 Min zu Fuß zum Strand entfernt und ist sehr ruhig gelegen. Im Zimmer ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht (kleiner Kühlschrank mit kostenlosen Getränken, Handtücher, Klimaanlage, saubere Bettwäsche, TV). Die Mitarbeiter und die Inhaber sind super nett. Transfer vom Flughafen hat super geklappt und ich konnte ohne Probleme nachts gegen 00:00 einchecken. Frühstück ist auch inbegriffen. Ein kleiner Pool ist auch vorhanden. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist unschlagbar.

Was my first time back to Bali in 13 years and pondok ayu was the best place to come back and rest in would definitely come back and recommend to family to stay

Lovely staff, basic and clean rooms. Pool area very odd and owner should be more discreet

Peaceful, clean and staff were lovely.

The owner occupies a room there and has claimed half the pool, put strangely placed plants in pots all around the pool so it looks very messy. She was always calling staff to attention whilst you’re trying to relax around the pool and spying from her net curtains. Very invasive and very weird

Excellent and safe property

Excellent facilities, comfortable bed, huge room and closet. Had a kitchen which was handy for tea making. Huge bottle of drinking water. Staff excellent, the entire property was spotless, lovely breakfasts.

Very good homestay with good facilities

Nice and clean room. Very friendly staff. Just a 15 minutes walk from the beach, market and restaurants. Swimming pool in the beautiful garden is very nice. You could stay here longer. The room is big enough and facilities are great. Much storage, good bathroom

Dreamy days

I had an incredible and wonderful stay in Bali for the first time. The dedication and impeccable service of the staffs, the very beautiful house and garden with many flowers, the clean swimming pool, the bright and well-maintained large room, everything was perfect! Mrs.Sari, Mady, Kady, Ayu, I miss you!

Perfect little oasis away from the hustle and bustle.

There is a busy road to cross to get to the beach, but you can walk a little further north to a crossing.

Very enjoyable, near harbor and restaurants and bars.

Small scale, easy to feel at home, clean and nice pool, very friendly and helpful personnel. Free airport pickup and location near the harbor were a plus.

everything, but it’s the staff that make this place special.

nothing. Yes it’s tucked away from main area, as some would say the wrong side of the bypass, but easy to get taxis costing $1-3 to beach or Main Street. This is what makes it so peaceful.

Perfect. and this time was there for Nypei. And was so well looked after during Nypei.

Have stayed at Pondok Ayu before and will stay there again. Very comfortable, lots of hot water, pool with nice surrounding but most of all everybody who works there are wonderful.

Nothing. some people have commented on the walk to the beach. It only takes about 10 minutes to nearest beach. I also used the Gojek car service on their App which I found very efficient and from a UK perspective ridiculously cheap.

Superb

I loved Pondok Ayu! It's great that they provided a taxi pick up as well and the driver Made was very nice and friendly. The room is spacious and clean, it has got a bathtub which was a nice addition. The location is not too far from the main road and restaurants in walking distance but yet tucked away nicely so that it's quiet without the traffic noise.

The only thing that could be better is the curtains in the room. It's such a comfortable room, it would help to have blackout curtains or at least thicker curtains to keep the light away in the morning.

Felt like home

I loved that driver picked us up at the airport and helped with the luggages. Everything was so smooth and easy for us. Breakfast was good and they are so nice with children. Pool was clean and there was oppurtunity to take a good massage next to it. Really loved staying there.

A good budget stay. I don’t like the new management

a good comfy budget accomodation. The team of staff at Pondok is amazing. Gede, Made, Putu, Nyoman.

Pondok has a changed of management. The new owner who runs the place. I have observed how she treats the staff. the new owner treats the staff as servants. The previous owner looks after her staff very well. Treated them very well. I made an appointment to have a massage and the owner then asked the masseur to massage her own daughter first and asked that I wait. I’m the hotel guest here.

Balinese villa style accommodation with excellent staff, spacious suite and breakfast

Comfortable and quiet residential location set in a compact attractive garden. Felt like staying in a Balinese villa. enjoyed the casual wicker seating on the balcony. Pick up from the airport was appreciated. I agree with other reviews. Pondok Ayu offers a homely stay in Sanur.

A real oasis

Let's address location straight up; Lonely Planet says 'do not stay west of Jl By Pass Ngurah Rai'...rubbish! Take LP's advice & you would miss the wonderful gem that is Pondok Ayu Yes, crossing the highway can be...er 'interesting' but it is by no means a deal breaker. Pondok Ayu is an oasis. It's in a quiet residential area but still an easy walk to all Sanur amenities. It is a beautiful property with large rooms (only 5 in total) & the staff are lovely; from Gede's smiling face at the airport to the breakfast & cleaning ladies. The pool area & garden is gorgeous. Breakfast was delicious & a wonderful start to your day. This place is a winner...highly recommended!

I had no hot water both mornings but with Bali heat, it wasn't an issue. I didn't even mention it to the staff...I'm sure if I had, it would have been rectified.
