Netter Einstieg in unsere Motorrad-Norwegen-Runde

Sehr gute Lage, gutes Restaurant, zweckmäßige Zimmer in schöner Lage nicht weit vom Fjord und am Rand der historischen Stadtmitte. Wir konnten unsere 5 Motorräder direkt am Hotel parken. Das Frühstück war umfangreich, wenngleich der Frühstückssaal eher einer Mensa glich.

Nydelig gammelt hotell. Vel vært et besøk. Vi legger gjerne turen dit igjen.

Blide og koselige personale. God service av alle ansatte. Nydelig middag med gode råvarer. Frokosten var innbydende, fikk servert nystekt eggerøre etter eget ønske. Vafler stekt der og da. Med andre ord, helt topp.

Litt bedre ventilasjon på badet kunne vert ordnet.

Sehr gut

Sehr gut hat uns der freundliche und hilfsbereite Empfang an der Rezeption gefallen. Das hat uns auch die Routenfindung für unsere Weiterfahrt am nächsten Tag sehr geholfen. Das Frühstück war sehr gut.

Für uns war alles in Ordnung und sehr angenehm. Wir haben uns wohl und aufgehoben gefühlt. Der Ort hat eine sehr schöne kleine Altstadt in der Nähe des Hotels.

Ein netter Zwischenstopp für eine Nacht

Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer war sauber. Die Lage ist super. Eignet sich sehr für schöne Spaziergänge in der Natur. Man fühlt sich wie im Herzen Norwegens.

Die Ausstattung und die Einrichtung waren etwas veraltet. Der Fernseher hat nicht funktioniert und das Bad war auch sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Das Frühstück war ausreichend.

nice village, not far from Flam.. etc reception and staff are very friendly; breakfast is very good outside the pre-booked excursion times; hotel facilities are also nice, like two dif restaurants and main hall

it's an 'excursion' hotel.. groups of people arrive, come and go; not a big problem, but it can be busy at times; the beds put together do not work.. they get separated in the middle of the night.. they should offer a proper double bed or a different arrangement for a couple

Outdated but they really try!

Breakfast is ok, and it really feels like everyone is doing their best. They offer you fresh eggs and smoothies in the morning, make sure that everything at the buffett is filled up. The atmosphere in the lobby with the fire place is nice. Rooms are big, water pressure good, it is really quiet during the night, and there are 2 supermarkets in really short walking distance. Only 40 minutes away by car from Flam, which is why we stayed here.

Hotel is definately outdated, amenities are on the low side. The biggest issue is the wifi, which is weak to unstable in the rooms. It is good in the lobby.

nature, beauty, and more.

quiet place surrounded by mountains! there is a mini market in the front of the hotel in case you need something in the last minute. kind staffs from Poland, and some Norwegians being Norwegians. Just two steps from Lærdalstunnel 24,5km driving through, and you will come to the other side of the fjords in Aurland.

For a day or two, it’s very much ok.

For more amenities and handicap/elderly accessibility, stay in the “modern” building. 🚅

Great location within walking distance of the old town, free parking and WiFi, historic property. Room had a lovely view of the garden.

No elevator, very thin walls, no hair dryer in the room.

The staff was very nice and helpful. Always smiling and welcoming There is an old part of the hotel which is like museum and its very nice Beds are comfortable. There is a good supermarket open late night just in front. Breakfast is acceptable and resturant is well decorated and clean.

The rooms are so simple. No coffee maker or electric kettle. No Cups and glasses. Just 2 plastic cups. No safe box. No slippers. I got my room at night and the heater has been off probably for some days and the room was very cold. It took hours to warm up. There is no instruction on how to turn on the heaters. So you will need to figure it out yourself. The nice old building you see in the photos, is NOT the hotel. It's a building in front of the hotel. The hotel itself is an old 3 stories building. They also don't have any family room which can host 4 people. So if you are a family, you have to book 2 rooms which adds to cost and also lots of travel between roomsad they will probably not be beside each other.

I would recommend

What made this hotel was the staff. The man at the front desk was very helpful. He gave me great tips on local attractions and what roads to take. He made my stay!

The hotel itself is a bit dated and the carpets needed to be replaced. That being said, it was still extremely clean and the rooms were very comfortable.

Quaint, friendly place to stay with warm hospitality.

A very welcoming and lovely place. Amazing dinner and breakfast. Comfortable room and common areas with nice furnishings. Beautiful and well kept landscaping and grounds. Super friendly and helpful staff.

Our heater didn’t work but we were given a portable heating source right away, so it was really not a problem. The foyer door would slam loudly anytime someone came through which was a bit annoying and startling.
